It’s not what they say on the advertising the rooms are old and damaged really disappointed with the place wouldn’t recommend to anyone

I would not recommend it to anybody. What a disaster of a place. The room is so dingy. Blankets smell, pillows dirty, cupboard doors broken. The entire place smells bad. The washroom does not have a proper shower. It is a 2X2 feet tub with filthy curtain around it. The receptionist was pissed drunk when we got there. Wifi did not work. Please learn from our mistake and spend a bit more and get a nicer place than this crap.

A very basic hotel only stayed a night so can't give a full review. The room was not what I expected and would probably only give it 1 star and glad I was only there for an overnight stop. The reception staff were friendly enough and the location seemed OK. It just wasn't for me and not one that I would recommend I am afraid.

Super central and convenient, top floor apartment with amazing views. Friendly staff!

2nd time ive stayed at Residencial Monaco and i enjoyed it.. Always stayed there as a solo traveller. Close by to bars a supermarket and cafe's, Only 8 minute's walk to the promenade.

Great stay as usual. Had room 101 the private terrace was a bonus. A big thank you to Tony,Alberto and Elda who cleaned my room every day. Will definitely stay there again. You have a good team there Sr Jaime.

The staff is helpful and the location is central. However the hotel is old and located in a noisy area.

Cheap and great place at the middle of old city.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Made me feel welcome and said it would be a pleasure to see me back in the future at anytime. Gave me a happy feeling. Great.

A great place with good covid policies. A little off from the tourist section, which we like, and a fairly busy road outside. Beds were firm, and a little uncomfortable but that is subjective. Overall it was a good place to stay.

The so called double bed, was two singles put together, with a double mattress on top, which was too small, leaving a six inch ledge each side, making getting in and out difficult. Also the mattress was well worn, just like sleeping on bare springs

Very clean and host very accommodating, got upgraded to a 2 bedroom penthouse with gorgeous view. Such a great find for the price and apart is conveniently located in the heart of Funchal. Wish I had a chance to stay longer.

The manager Alberto, was very friendly and helpful. The hotel room was small and the washroom was very very tiny/miniscule!!

We were looking something cheap and our children could shared room with us. Location pretty good. Breakfast and room so,so but what can you expect for 30euros per day for whole family. Staff, especially one of them(youngest) very, very helpful with good ideas and recommendations. Good value for money if you don't have big budget.

Exactly what I expected and ideal location, will be returning very soon. Host was very helpful and kind. Although I booked into hotel I was given an apartment around the corner which was perfect to what I needed

on the whole good, and cheap,staff very ploite very lovely place,would recomend madeira (funchal) this time of year december very warm and the christmas lights are fantastic
