Great location, really friendly and helpful staff. The rooftop was a lovely addition for a relax after a busy day. Only thing missing was an iron which they don’t provide so we had to go out and buy a steamer.

Great location, and services and pool area were wonderful. My only complaint is there was a horrible continuous noise above us from the pool deck area that made it impossible to sleep. We were on the fourth floor. But Madeira stole our hearts.

Everything about our stay was amazing. The staff were friendly and efficient. The grounds were clean and inviting. All of the services were beyond our expectations.

The staff are incredible. Breakfast offering is great. Location is phenomenal. Roof terrace is wonderful. Rooms are also relatively spacious for Europe. All round a lovely stay.

Great location and well appointed room. Negative: The hotel should communicate with guests about driving directions and parking. We had significant difficulty when using Google Maps.

Had nothing watch on TV when in relax mode

I was disappointed, guess 3 star meant more regarding facilities like a swimming pool, and not the state of the run down rooms. Well the 1 i was in, 2nd floor over the street, thankfully i brought some ear plugs. The furniture in the room was worn and so basic. The bathroom was tiny, and not much room. The shower head, think the pictures say it all. And above all the breakfast, chaotic, expecially the staff member that checks the room numbers. They all looked very unhappy to be working. The breakfast was so basic and if there was an option, dont pay for it. It was hilarious that a very obnoxious girl was photographing the breakfast. Dont believe the pictures, all a big set up/ fake.

Perfectly located for our first visit to Funchal. We definitely will comeback to this property. Front staff, particulary Luis,was warm, friendly and very helpful throughout our visit. Roof deck and poo; was added treat.

Bedroom was very clean, but furniture a bit dated and shabby. Bathroom a bit on the small side. That aside, the hotel staff were all friendly & efficient. Breakfast is buffet style with a huge variety of cold meats, fruit salad, cheeses, cooked, pastries and drinks. Roof terrace is a nice chilled out place, giving you inside or outside options to eat. Also a pool and lounging area. Location is very central and a couple streets back from the waterfront.

Excellent service, the staff is very friendly. I high recommended Hotel Madeira. Walking distance for Funchal city centre.

Overall very clean. Location excellent.

Had a fantastic time even though it was short. Will travel again in the future.
