Not sure why it’s rated as a 4-star hotel and has really good reviews. It was probably a great hotel 30 years ago but it’s old not really in a charming way and smells a bit musky. I thought I had filtered for hotels with AC and it turned out this hotel only had certain rooms with AC so book wisely. It was terrible when I had booked us there over the 38C heatwave thinking we’re getting a room with AC. Fortunately there was a fan and the windows can be opened wide. Reception staff is indeed very friendly and the location is close to the Hbf

I usually stay here for business. It is an older property but is good with plenty of room. 3 minute walk to HBF.

The staff was amazing, and the property deserves 5 stars. It was perfect for the price. It is close to HBF and the cathedral, and it also has private parking.

The room was very large and comfortable and had a hotplate, refrigerator and sink and large closet, large tv, full size bed, large windows with blackout shades,provided a large fan. Everything was great and 3 minutes from the main train station. Excellent stay and very friendly staff.

We enjoyed our stay. It was close to the train station and close to attractions. Staff are friendly. I was surprised how everything in the hotel was not updated. The rugs in the elevator and rooms were worn out and outdated, the curtains were very old and the elevator was small.

Not a 5 star property but clean and great service. Walking distance tovtrain and downtown Cologne.

Basic room near the train station. Clean and convenient to cathedral. We were here for just a night so didn’t need extra services like a restaurant/bar. Very friendly staff which always helps.

Nice hotel close to the train station. Had a very nice, large room with a terrace. Also a small frig and stove. All quite comfortable. Easy walking into the old part of town. Would stay here again.
