Stern person at check-in with many harsh rules such as park between lines or be towed. If you are a minute past 11 on checkout day you pay for another day. But the place was clean and a good price.

Room was clean, parking is limited. Despite the amount of air freshener placed in the room it failed to completely cover up the smell of smoke and cigarettes.

Old motel that has been nicely upgraded in the bathrooms. Rear unit, on ground floor very quiet except for some construction noise within the motel. The units are very small, hardly space to put your suitcases and beds are soft. Two good restaurants across the street, MX and Thai. We had the one handicapped parking space.

I had stayed here one other time for a quick overnight. It was less expensive than most and not the typical place I book. I usually stay at 4 or 5 star places but knew this place was easy, clean, comfortable and simple. The manager was nice, friendly and it was a fast check-in. The room was clean, everything functioned, the pillows and bed were much better than many higher end places that have been terrible. It does not have other creature comforts (if you are looking for resort features) as it's a motel, but it's a great little place! Parking and access was easy and the location is fantastic in relation to getting to many things like downtown & the Main Street walk (which is becoming like the 3rd Street Promenade that Santa Monica is famous for). There are many restaurants, shops and things to do, all within a couple minute drive. The room was definitely worth the cost and if you are looking for a place to rest your head, crash out or stay over night, this place works well. If you are looking for a resort experience or all the amenities of a full service hotel with a spa, pool, restaurant, bar, etc., then this would not be your place. I have been twice now and both times were about the same experience...consistent, worked great and I was happy that I stayed. AC worked well, shower pressure was fantastic and the bathroom was spacious. The only thing negative would be the artificial/chemical "Glade" type freshener which those belong in the trash. Great Motel & Great Staff!

This place is really good value, location is very convenient, and it has everything you need. Quiet, comfortable bed, shower new and good water pressure, kitchenette with large fridge, parking. We stayed here to go to the Channel Islands National Park and it was very convenient. Restaurants nearby.

Neil was wonderful at check in. Area around the motel was quiet. Room was clean and very nicely updated. BEDS are EXCELLENT. Loved the microwave and empty space we could use in the mini-fridge; SO glad it was not loaded with expensive snacks that we would not eat. Instead, I got to load it with my fave beverages. Oddly, the only clothes rack were over the microwave, making it difficult for a short person to hang and retrieve clothing. Also, the walls were plain next to the sink where two towel racks could go to hang wash cloths etc. Only 3 blocks away is Art's Corner Cafe: AWESMAZING. You will not regret a visit there!!!

As soon as I walked in, I was early staff said no problem will give you an upgrade. Your room was not quite ready. Everything was brand new floors, kitchen bathroom beds. Very friendly very quick quiet.

The exterior of the motel was a bit down trodden but interior was clean and comfortable. I loved the decor very nostalgic The staff was helpful at check in and very friendly Location was perfect for my stay !

The staff got us checked in early. They were helpful with any problem we thought we had. I would recommend them to everyone and can not wait to go back.
