Great little motel near everything. Property is a little older, but the location is walking distance to many activities and restaurants. Even though they do not offer breakfast, it would be nice to have a coffee maker in the rooms. The family that owns the property are very nice and accommodating to requests.

Great place to stay!

Basic motel within 5 min walk to closest beach entrance , rooms got some updates and ok overall. Area feels better than where similarly priced motels near I-5 are , it, still few homeless can be seen around. With right price it can be a good deal if you don’t mind infrequent cleaning service.

Rooms are clean as well as frig micro and drawers. Staff was polite and accommodating. Good coffee and fresh morning tart is 30 second walk next door.

Place was filthy. Hole in the comforter. Toilet seat was dirty. I walked in and the checked right out

Staff was very polite and courteous. The building and rooms definitely need some TLC. Would not recommend this location for people with young families.

We had a pillow case that was dirty. And when I asked for a 3rd towel for our son, we were provided 2, I was told I had to come back a 9:30am for the cleaning staff.

Nice confort

I was comfortable plus the room had a frig and microwave which was nice. The tv was setup for streaming but I would rather have cable or satellite.

Loved my room got a AWSome upgrade to a even better room this place is the perfect getaway home away from home I'm so glad I made a choice to come here for a couple weeks and just relax staff here is excellent management is beyond excellent makes me feel like family very accommodating it's refreshing to know that customer service like this still exists in the hotel circuit good job Scandia motel

We love the location although a little noisy with the school and road and train nearby Being able to walk to beach is what we like. The property is a great location we chose the room with the kitchenette having a stove and fridge and mini fridge was great,bring your utensils,pots,napkin plates salt pepper they dont provide anything. They do have a ice maker which was great

I love staying here. It’s clean, comfortable and very safe. The family who runs this motel are super friendly.

Worst hotel experience ever! Checked in & went into our room to find it dirty & with cigarette smell, even though they claim that it’s a “non smoking room”. I couldn’t stay in those type of conditions due to me being pregnant as well as having my husband & 2 year old with me. Went back to the desk to try & get another room

Very convenient location- 2 min walk to Carlsbad village . Easy parking. Rooms are small but fine for a couple who wants affordability . Property can use an outside paint overhaul, which Vijay agrees with. Property has plenty of potential with some TLC .

I chose this place because of its location and convenience. It is a beautiful place in a beautiful city. The location is near most anything you could want within walking distance and a beautiful beach scene if you do walk anywhere.

The room was rather small but pleasant and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean, and the shower was spacious and its flow of water was soothing.
