This is my go-to hotel in Semarang. It's really great.

Friendly staff, clean room, but the AC is not cold enough + the WiFi network is very slow, the pool is quite large but the water is a bit cloudy, complete amenities. Breakfast 👌 tastes pretty good. Overall, it's good for that price

This is the second time my family and I have stayed at Horison, here the check-in and check-out process is faster.

My son immediately remarked, "It's very friendly, and the hotel is strategically located for walking to Kota Tua. I got a room with limited views (there's an unused annex), and even though I asked for the highest room, I couldn't see the Semarang view.

The hotel is comfortable, the rooms are spacious, the prices are standard, the service is friendly and it is close to everywhere, just walking distance to culinary places.

The food here is all delicious. Yesterday I tried the torch ginger fried rice on a Monday morning. The traditional snacks are also delicious, and there are also various kinds of drinks. The hotel is strategically located in Semarang's Old Town, just a short walk from the Old Town Museum. It's a short walk to the Wingko Train souvenir shop.

Friendly staff, comfortable beds, cold AC, strong water (hot + cold), and smooth Wi-Fi. Suggestions for management to immediately carry out regular maintenance (e.g., the room smells of urine when the bathroom exhaust is turned on), cleanliness needs to be improved (e.g., stained bedsheets), and facilities need to be improved (e.g., still not using a smart TV).

The staff is very friendly... the breakfast is also delicious and has many choices. There is a swimming pool which is also suitable for children.

This hotel is close to Semarang's Tawang Station. I found it suitable for transit to a more established hotel. Despite the many bad reviews, my transit stay here was quite comfortable, even though it's an older hotel/building. The AC was cool, the bathroom was quite clean (the shower heated quickly, the toilet functioned well and was clean), and the mattress was so-so. However, the electricity didn't automatically turn on when the card was inserted (not a big deal). Overall, it's quite comfortable for a transit trip to the next city.
