Nice place. Family friendly with lots of wedding planning

Nice sports facilities, but not friendly to tourists with tattoos. Was extremely limited to activities on property. Outside of fine dining the closest dining option was at the mall which was a 20 minute walk away.

I loved loved my room was perfect Had a great sleep. Amazing view. Staff were polite and great. Only issue was my son and his friend are cycleing on this trip. They brought their bikes inside to a designated location per staff but someone got in theire and stole some of their tools and lowered the seats etc Was to be a secure spot so that was disappointing. Reported the next morning.

The dinner offered was scant and of very poor quality. The view was more of road than lake

A clean, spacious hotel with excellent facilities and a stunning lake view.

The hotel facilities are excellent, and staff are very friendly and polite. One thing inconvenient is the narrow parking slot, it was difficult to open the car door fully for offloading my bags from the rear sheet.

Nice location & view, in front of Biwa lake, the largest lake in Japan. Many activities in the hotel.

The outside of the hotel needed maintenance, the fountain wasn’t working, the paths and driveways needed weeding. It looked very run down, not what you would expect from a Marriott hotel. It lacked facilities- there was no outdoor seating area (it was hot when we stayed), the advertised bike hire was from the bicycle shop attached to the hotel and was very expensive. The swimming pool was also linked to a sports centre next door and was chargeable. Food choices were also greatly overpriced compared to other hotels in Japan and the only other restaurants within walking distance were in the shopping mall. The room was large and we paid extra for a lake view which was nice. Staff (lots) were friendly and helpful and the free shuttle bus into town was useful but there wasn’t a lot going on in the local area. Overall a disappointing and expensive stay from what we expected from a Marriott hotel.

Great hotel by Lake Biwa. Spacious room and good hot spring

The hotel and room itself (king lakeview) was extremely clean and spacious. Atmosphere was peaceful and view of the lake waa pretty. The immediate area around the hotel has NOTHING so be prepared to eat in at the hotel or at Pieri Moriyama, a shopping centre about 5 mins drive away.

Staffs very good with warm welcome. Even my room is not lake side, view still very good no matter day or night. The unexpected warm welcome for me is hot tea in lobby during snowing days.

room very comfort and clean, Receptionist and Concierge are informative and helpful, breakfast varieties are acceptable, only disappoint on the table arrangement during breakfast time, we were not allowed to sit at window side but those late comers such as foreigners and Japanese are allowed!!
