We didn’t like the fact that the suite section was not even in the same building. If you’re paying for a suite at $400+ there should be some convenience attached to it. We have stayed at Hilton hotels across the country and know that there is always shampoo and conditioner in the shower, well here they were all empty. Then went to use the keurig and there was a used pod in it still, but wasted my time even getting more coffee for it as it didn’t even work. And then to top it all off, when booking I paid for a buffet breakfast, that don’t even exist, but was offered an extremely expensive breakfast in which at that point they felt bad for us and just gave us the breakfast, which should have been free anyway due to awful taste of it. Needless to say we won’t be staying here again!!

The hotel was just right for myself &16 year old grandson's 3 day trip.We ate at restaurant several times,had spa treatments, he used weight room every day while i shopped in hotel gift shop or nearby stores.Lake Placid a short trip away with plenty of things to do as well.

Our choice to stay here was a last minute one due to the threat of rains at the campsite we'd intended to sleep in. The bed was like in a fairy tale - so comfortable and cozy. The food at the "Camp Fire" restaurant was spectacular (we even spoke with the chef which was an added treat!!). And the location allowed for easy walking to the charming town of Saranac. Highly recommended!!

What a wonderful trip, first timers to the Adirondack's and it was AMAZINGLY AWESOME. Saranac Lake is a laid back fun little village. You have the faster past in Lake Placid which was a short scenic drive. We rode our bikes along the Rail Trail, shopped in both towns, very good restaurants - had barbeque and the BEST Brussel Sprouts at Smoke Signals in Lake Placid.

We were charged $22.50 for something after we checked out. Only drank 2 bottles of water which were supposed yo be free. We stayed 3 nights. The room was slightly cleaned the morning after the 1st night. Looks like someone started but left. We had to call for extra toliet paper which was reluctantly delivered.

We were checked away from the main building , in the old interns dorms. Which turned out to be wonderful: very spacious and updated. The main building doesn’t have a lobby as far as I could tell, anyway. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was supposed to be served in a restaurant in the main building. The waiters said there is just one cook at the kitchen and asked us to return in an out. This is unacceptable- you are not supposed to start your day one hour later because of a bad staffed restaurant. The waiters seemed to be UN knowledgeable about how billed is paid: claiming they will claim it from the hotel, and the hotel will buy it on your bill. And they did not know what should be covered by the hotel and what’s not. Which was disturbing. Eventually, everything was covered by the hotel, but the waiter tried to give us as little as possible “are u OK with just water?” And avoiding coming to our table and offer anything like orange juice or coffee. One of the worst experiences for breakfast at a hotel.

The layout of the hotel was a little complicated. You had to walk outside thru the parking deck to get to another building to get to our room. We had a 3 night stay. The first day we had to ask for housekeeping for towels and have the beds made. The second day housekeeping never came so when we got back to our room after being out all day, the room was never made up. The next morning we needed fresh towels so we called the front desk to have them delivered. They never came. They had a hard time meeting the bare minimum of what you would expect at a hotel.

We had a great stay at the Hotel Saranac. It was very clean, nicely restored and the beds were very comfy. They had a great restaurant and bar also. I highly recommend a stay there.

Clean and very affordable. The great hall bar was the place to be - very inventive cocktails!

Camp Fire was a fantastic restaurant on property, Taylor in the Great room (bartender) was phenomenal and the spa was just what we needed! We only had a few days to get away but even for being off season, this was a great destination and was so peaceful and quiet for us to relax and recharge!!
