I only stayed for one night - I was heading to the second round of the D1GP in Okuibuki the next day. The staff were polite, and handed me the tickets I had forwarded to meet me three. Thank you.

The property was very clean and close to the train station. Breakfast was offered every morning. The staff were very friendly. The bed and pillows were very. The internet was quite slow and very spotty that was very disappointing.

Location: 5 mins from the station so an easy walk. Staff: they were friendly and helpful. Hotel: standard Toyoko inn so clean, and has everything you need for a nice stay including breakfast which has a nice variety so you’ll find something you like. Room: typical style for this chain hotel. Clean, fresh, with bathroom and shower unit. These rooms are the typical size which is fine.bed was comfortable. Food etc was all about 5 mins away. Plenty around the train station for people to enjoy. Hikone castle was an easy 15 ish minute walk away. The view at the castle was simply breathtaking as it looks out over the city but also Lake Biwa and it was a beautiful day so the view was amazing and it’s HIGHLY worth the visit just for the view. Castle and grounds will look amazing soon coming into spring as they have a plum orchard as well as cherry blossoms. Highly recommend the hotel and Hikone.

The staff was extremely helpful and the laundry facility on site was great. Only taking a star off because the beds were very stiff and I did wake up a couple times due to the trains coming in and out of the station. That said 5 minute walk to the station after a free breakfast in the morning was great!

Breakfast was good. Near to Hikone station. Great hotel to stay in the Hikone area.

This hotel was within walking distance of the train station, which was important to us. The staff is helpful; someone is always available if needed. Breakfast is included and has a wide variety of choices, including local specialities. The room was comfortable and spacious enough for two people to move around. Walking to nearby shrines is doable, but for some walking to the Castle by the lake may be a bit too far. We walked down, but took a cab back up the hill. The castle and old town is worth a visit.

Standard japanese hotel room, nothing too fancy but still comfortable. The room had a slight smell of smoke but nothing strong. You can hear the trains pass since you’re by the station, and the walls are on the thin side so bring earplugs. Staff were super friendly and helpful!

Breakfast was not as good as some other Toyoko Inns. Less variety and choice, although still good.

Very user friendly hotel.

Clean, friendly staff. But the self scan check in system is difficult for foreigners. Parking is 500 yen per day. Train station not too far away. Nothing else near the hotel except a huge electronics store.

It was a very simple, lovely hotel, with very kind staff and amazing breakfast. Never thought having Yakisoba for breakfast is an option though but now I'm a new convert. Haha

Clean and well maintained hotel close to train station with sufficient parking (500yen per night) on our stay. Breakfast, as with others in this chain of hotels, is bare basics to get you going for the day.

It was close to the train station and castle. And the includes breakfast was nice.

Good hotel but rude and absolutely not-client-oriented staff. They are helpless, do not understand a single word in English and will kick you out of dining hall with shouting and waving hands if you come 5 minutes earlier for a breakfast.
