The hotel was convenient, good for the price. The staff was kind and helpful. The elevators were old and noisy, but worked well. We did not like the shower design, a lot of water leaked out of the shower and we had to use several floor towels everyday.

Excellent hotel, especially considering the price. Breakfast is pretty good also. Definitely recommend

A big disappointment was the breakfast that was supposed to be included for which I was charged US$20 upon checking out for breakfast. Breakfast was fine but certainly not worth anywhere near $20 let alone when it was supposed to be included per Expedia website

Pros - clean, great location, not noisy, spacious room, attentive and friendly staff Cons - hotel is old and not in great condition, hot water takes a bit to get going Overall, I liked the hotel. Given the cleanliness, staff, and location, the price was great. Friends of mine stayed at "nicer" hotel a couple of blocks away and couldn't sleep at night because of traffic and street noise and they paid almost three times what I did. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Buenos Aires.

Hotel is in a central location. Breakfast was good and staff were friendly. Room was basic but comfotable and clean/quiet.

Everything was great, some of the staff doesnt know very well english, but that is normal in Argentina :-) you need to know something of spanish. They are eager to help and assist with everything. Every day thay change a sheets what is super! Breakfast is exellent( eggs, ham, cheese, butter, marmalade, cereales, fruit salat, muffin....). Hotel is in the Recoleta near, very near( on the border) to micro centar. Everything is on walk distance. All in all great hotel to recommend

The hotel is very well located (recoletta) from the gallerio pacifico and the obelisk and two metro stations nearby. Not so far to puerto madero or retiro. Unfortunately they need to upgrade their rooms, there is an unpleasant smell , wallpaper ms are disgusting . What was supposed to be a king bed is two standart bed put together and on the 31st of december and the 1st we didn’t get housekeeping to clean our room. The wifi sucks. Overall breakfast is ok, front desk staff is ok and location is excellent for me.

This hotel does not live up to reviews and there is inaccurate information on the hotel website. This is an old 1940s hotel that has had a paint over minimal refurbishing. No soundproofing, modern plumbing. or electronics in rooms. The maid rationed all supplies to a bare minimum, barely cleaned, and used very very loud volume on walkie talkie Nextel phones early in morning. Room was not ready until 4 pm several times. Had to fix the toilet, electrical outlets, or tub fixtures multiple times. The most unappealing occurrence was the service, attitude, and general negativity received from all the staff. They watched TV and ate meals in guest Getting any level of service required many requests. The first day in BA, the nothing was provided about breakfast, internet, elevator, maps,etc. I had to change rooms two times to get what I asked and paid for in my reservation. They advertise this as a tourist hotel for non Argentinian Spanish speakers. 90% staff only speak Argentine Spanish and had the above attitude. I speak European Spanish. The staff make negative comments in Spanish right in front of you. Unacceptable.. Understood, but said nothing in return. There is little to no tourist information You are on your own at all times. There are other minor complaints, but I wanted to hit the major ones. Beware!!

The people working there were so helpful. They arranged, however, a tour for us where we were to be picked up and dropped off. The tour guide seemed to be performing in his sleep. When it came time to return us, he left us off at a corner and said turn left. It was getting dark and we had no way to find our way back. I think they need to be more careful about the tour companies they trust their guests too, We might still be wandering if we weren't lucky enough to follow fellow guests home who could speak Spanish and ask for directions.

They promised wi-fi internet in all rooms, but actually it only worked at the lobby. Many people complaining about that.

This hotel has a good location in Recoleta, close to the subway system and buses. The hotel lobby is okay but the rooms are quite outdated, especially the bathroom ... they painted over the original tiles and the paint is peeling. There was also an "odor" everytime we walked in. However, for the price/value, it was okay for a 5 day stay. Don't know if I would stay there if I went back.

The walls are thin, so if the other guests are noisy you're going to hear it. The place is pretty clean, aside from the old carpet which smells a little. Otherwise it was reasonably comfortable for the price.
