Only stayed for one night and was perfect for that. We booked a really cheap room on the ground floor so we knew what we'd be getting, a smaller room etc. Included breakfast which was prepared earlier for us as we were leaving early in the morning. The manager is lovely, really helpful and went above and beyond to help us. He showed us the square, arranged an early breakfast and helped us get our bags to the car. Really nice guy.

I wouldn't know... We got there and were told it was full and there was no room for us. Even though we reserved a few weeks before. We were offered a place in another riad, about 10 minutes walk from there with the luggage of the hole family in hands. A notification from the host the day before or even the morning would have been a minimum of service.

We enjoyed our stay at the Riad Jomana. We would recommend to family and friends planning a trip to Marrakech. The staff were friendly, breakfast was really good (continental style). Loved the deco in room and courtyard😄. The Riad is in the heart of the Medina walkable distance to the busy Jama alfa. The only niggle, price quoted online stated that local taxes included but we were told that this wasnt. Overall I would stay again.

Riad Jomana is a truly traditional Riad but has the advantage of being tucked away from the main square and a short distance from the souks which means that it is a haven of peace and tranquillity in such a busy city. Youssef who runs the Riad is so helpful and really looks after the building and his guests. He knows everything about Marrakech and can arrange for anything that you might need or wish to do. I would book with Riad Jomana again and have already recommended it to friends.

This Riad is a bit hard to find at first, but well-located anyway. The place is a small jewel, with very helpful owner, providing tasty breakfasts every morning.

Memorable stay in traditional Moroccan house in the heart of the medina (old town). Unlike anything you will experience in Europe. Very friendly and warming staff. Only 5min walk from the main square and markets. Lovely rooftop terrace to relax on. Fresh breakfast served in the morning. Could not ask for a better experience. Highly recommended!

Najib is seriously hard working and nice and took care of everything I needed from start to finish and even when I got stranded for an extra night. Definitely take the offer of the driver from the airport at least going there. The price is reasonable to a taxi AND they will walk you to the door since you can only drive so far.Once you are there, it's easy if you pay attention. It's about 15 minutes walk to the main square. Very clean. It was an interesting start, something happened with my original room and I was told I was going to stay in another property..Ended up going to another property (Riad Dalia), all good, best breakfast there ever. Then Najib came and walked me and my luggage over the next morning and gave me the keys and sent me on my way to explore. My luggage was in my upgraded room when I returned. Breakfast was decent and enough to get out the door and they will prepare dinner for you too (all Najib). The rooms on the main floor all open to the courtyard and if the windows are open, anybody sitting there is basically sitting with you. Not really an issue when you close the shutters so the A/C is nice if you can't sleep with the windows open.

We went to Marrakesh for four days and really enjoyed the experience. The hotel is right in the middle of the historic Medina which is vibrant and full of variety. It was situated on a rather quiet street albeit in the center of town, which was good since it also offered us the opportunity to relax when we wanted to take a break from the forever on the move atmosphere on the streets of Marrakesh. We particularly enjoyed the roof-top experience, since this riad was taller than the others and we could very clearly see the Koutoubia, the Bab Doukkala Mosque as well as the Medina itself and the stunning view of the Atlas Mountains in the horizon. Wonderful experience overall, would recommend it open-heartedly to anyone!

Our stay here was fantastic, mainly due to the great staff at the Riad. They were very helpful and accommodating to any of our needs. We ended up staying in two different rooms and they were both great. The upstairs terrace is a nice place to relax if you get some time. The location is nice and convenient to the Souks and Jeema El Fna. Will definitely recommend, and stay there again. Thanks!

I would recommend Riad Jomana to anyone looking for accommodation in the Marrakech Medina. It is located within easy walking distance of Jemma el Fna and most of the Medina. We enjoyed the character of the Riad and its rooftop garden (great views at sunset). The rooms were comfortable and clean. The hotel manager was very kind and helpful during our entire 4 night stay and really helped enhance our experience. My wife works in the hotel business and was appreciative that he went above and beyond what was required. An airport transfer can be booked through the Riad for 15 Euro. I would recommend this on arrival as part of the journey can only be walked and the Riad can be difficult to find for those not familiar with the area. The manager met us where the taxis drop off at Bab Doukala and walked with us the remaining way, a big plus.

First time in Marrakech, and stepping into my first Riad was a lovely surprise. The central courtyard fills the place with light, and the tranquility is marked. My bedroom 'suite' was another terrific surprise. The shower, toilet and bedroom were on 3 levels. I even had a 4-poster bed, and the decor was all lovely rugs, dark woods and curtains....wonderful Moroccan character. The internal manager Youssef was very helpful, very friendly and spoke excellent English. I had booked a Riad meal for my first night, and it was perfect. A salad to start with, a Chicken Tagine as main and a gorgeous fruit salad to finish. If coming from airport you have 2 choices. 1st choice is an independent taxi (mine cost me 70 DM). However you must be confident of finding the place in the narrow alleyways. It's very difficult to locate on your first visit. I paid a local kid to guide me, once the taxi had dropped me off in Bab Doukkala square. Your 2nd choice is to Email Youssef and ask him to organise a taxi transfer from the airport, which will cost 15 EUR (150 DM). I was staying only the one night, and Youssef walked me back to Bab Doukkala in the morning where I could meet my friends.

This was a difficult place to find initially. It would be nice if they included a map with directions - be prepared to drag your luggage through the crowded medina... It was really a very ideal location, just hard to get to. Once we found it, the staff were very friendly and helpful and our stay was very comfortable. The room was quite adequate, although the bathroom was a little quirky (difficult to shower without flooding the room, beautiful sink that had a faucet leak that resulted in water spilling off the sink). Overall, though, it was quite nice. Very pleasant roof lounge area and very accommodating staff. We were quite happy there.

We stayed at Riad Jomana for 3 nights but did not enjoy our stay. The 2 ladies working there were very nice but the place was too cold with no heating in meals area and the rooms were so very cold too! The heating was not working in the room so had to ask for a portable heater that only worked for 2 days. Our third night we had to ask for more blankets! The staff said they did not know we were coming as they say they no longer deal with this company that I am doing this review for. When we booked out, they said that they did not get any payment for us (even though I had my receipt print out that I had paid 14 July 2012) They made us wait for over half hour while making phone calls to someone they know in London who emailed them another print out of our transaction before letting us leave. We felt like criminals!!

This Riad is paradise within the streets of Marrakesh, it is fantastic! The room and the terrace were amazing, the staff were really kind, they made sure that we knew where we were going, what to expect to pay for things, how to get around and everything we needed to know to make our holiday great!

My rating says it all, "highly recommended". Besides being a great place to stay Riad Jommana represents excellent value. Service was top-notch, room was terrific. Best of 3 Riad's in which we've stayed by far. The only semi-significant complaint was that the pillows were very hard. And even that is not a fair complaint as I said nothing to the owners and thus gave them no chance to correct. All of the excellent reviews are well deserved.
