Staying at the Hotel Hermes Palace Banda Aceh was a pleasure. The location is strategic, the staff is friendly, the food is delicious, and ordering through the app is convenient and fast. There are promotions almost daily.

1. The hotel staff was unfriendly and rarely smiled. 2. The hotel room had a musty/unpleasant odor. 3. The bath towels were smelly, rough, and not absorbent. 4. The room furniture was worn out. 5. Towels and toiletries were not available at check-in, and when requested at 4 p.m., they were only delivered at 9 p.m. 6. The food display in the restaurant was not well-organized.

Extended my stay for one night from the previous day. I just found out that the hotel provides a shuttle for dawn prayers to the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque. I wish they could have informed me verbally, in addition to the banner in the lobby. Towels and a bath mat were provided for tonight. It seems I forgot the one from the previous night. The soap for the shower is still the same round soap as the one for the sink. The shampoo is a tube. The breakfast menu is not very varied, and I ordered an omelet at the egg corner, but after a long time I still didn't get what I ordered, so I was forced to leave the restaurant to get to the airport.

It felt a bit lacking in the feel of a 5-star hotel. Certain amenities like a swimming pool, gym, playground, etc. were indeed present, but I felt a lack of the luxury and details common in other 5-star hotels I've visited. For example, this was my first time staying in a 5-star hotel; the shower gel was the same as the sink soap, a flat, round bar. I didn't find any towels or bath mats on my first day. I thought the hotel's standards were different than in other cities. The hallway in front of my room felt dull and dim, lacking a sense of luxury. I booked a room with a king bed, but it wasn't available, so I ended up staying in a room with two single beds. Well, that's probably because it's peak season. The hotel's location is quite remote. The view from the hotel window is also unimpressive. The breakfast menu lacked variety and didn't meet expectations, as it didn't serve any Acehnese cuisine at all.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the swimming pool is quite pleasant, the food is varied and tastes quite good.

The rooms and food seem to need to be upgraded again. The receptionist is not very friendly in serving guests. There are many things that need to be improved. The breakfast is not very varied, unlike other five-star hotels.

Unfriendly service, no problem solving. Already married, asked for husband and wife ID cards but asked for marriage certificate again. Even though they brought 3 children, they didn't believe that they were married, asked to show their wedding photo again, we also showed the photo, they still didn't believe it. Crazy, right? Incidentally, they didn't scan their marriage certificate, because they usually don't ask for strange things like that when staying there, there was no smile at all from the service.
