Finding the location of Kartika Bungalows was rather challenging because the pinpoint location on Google Map was a little missed, besides that the signboard that showed the place turned out to stick with the Bali craft shop building which was also named Kartika. The Bungalows are located rather inward, past the owner's family residence. Car parking is very limited (only 1 unit), but for motorbikes it is very adequate. When I stayed in October 2018, the bungalow still felt very new. The bathrooms and rooms are clean, the furniture is still in good condition, the pillowcases and blankets are smooth white, and there are mini bars that stock star beer which are cheaper than the minimarkets around the bungalows. The bathroom has a bath tub, a facility that is very rare in Ubud. The swimming pool is relatively small, enough is only if the intention to soak cool the temperature (not for athlete-style swimming exercises). The family of the owner of Kartika Bungalow is very friendly and helpful, the check in process is very fast. The portion of breakfast is enough to fill the stomach until it's time for lunch. I would consider returning to stay at Kartika Bungalow if in the near future to Ubud again.
