I stayed at Jawi Peranakan Mansion and it instantly became one of my favorite hotels ever. The location is good, the interior is gorgeous, and they even give free yummy ice cream every day—such a sweet touch! But the best part of my stay? Abi, the hotel’s resident gentleman cat. He’s a chonky, adorable sweetheart who literally came to my door to say hello. His presence made the whole experience feel extra warm and homey. Beautiful hotel, amazing atmosphere, great service, and a cat who acts like he owns the place—what more could I ask for? Highly recommended. I’d definitely come back. ✨🐾

The hotel is really cool! The exterior and interior are authentic 19th century jawi peranakan style, when the jawi peranakan community was glorious in Penang. It's so authentic, a lot of hotel furniture from Rajastan and Bengali (including the fountain)! To revive the typical Mughal-style decoration as commonly used by the jawi peranakan community of that era. The service is super excellent, friendly from the heart, and there are many complimentary treatments that I have received that make a staycation in the Jawi Peranakan Mansion feel like a vacation at home alone surrounded by attentive people. Attention is given to the smallest details, really the motto applied by the management team and staff of the Jawi Peranakan Mansion. When I came home late in the night, I was immediately offered hot chamomile tea with the FO (for free), when I just popped my head again when I swam in midday, I was immediately given a chilled infused lemon water with the hotel staff when I hadn't asked, yet again, asking for early check-in and late check-out was granted without difficulty. I'm touched! The combination of quality hotels and services exceeds the price which is actually affordable. Will be back for sure, they also have a prayer mat in the room and space for large prayers making it easy for prayer.

Staying here, I have nothing to complain to. Very good services, super nice hotel, the bedroom is fantastic. Pool is ok. Clean room and places. A warm welcome from the staff.. Surroundings are ok, near local food, desserts, and western food also. Near to attractions area by walking distance. Oh ya no lift here, so might not consider as disable friendly although only 2 level buildings.

An interesting place for you who want to enjoy the penang with the culture left by its predecessors. Many beautiful things you can see from this hotel. lovely spacious room. friendly service from the local people. You will feel like you do not want to return to the existing environment.

I've been to Penang many times, but this is definitely the best one because of Jawi. Thank you for making our stay so relaxing and comforting! We came as guests, and leaving as friends.
