Staying overnight to rest from the journey back to DPS from Karangasem.
Booked at half past 2.
Arrived at the hotel at 2:10.
We were greeted as usual in the parking lot.
When we got to the lobby, we just stood there, no one greeted us, even though there were only 3 staff members working.
They explained that the rooms upstairs were full, but the first floor was available.
Since we were tired, we accepted it. The important thing was that we wanted to lie down.
We were then directed to the restaurant to wait for the key.
At 3:00, the room wasn't ready.
We asked for information from the restaurant staff, and they said the room would be ready in 20 minutes because we had made an additional booking.
They didn't explain what an additional booking was. This was the first time they'd explained that a guest had made an additional booking. They've never said that at other hotels.
At 3:20, the room was ready after we contacted the lobby directly via WhatsApp to complain.
The bellboy or lobby staff who delivered the key only explained that there were many guests checking out late.
Well, that's none of my business. Please...
If the room isn't ready, don't open it to the public.
I booked a king suite with a beach view.
If it's not ready, leave it empty.
I booked a garden view if the beach view is full.
The pluses are:
The hotel's location is very quiet. At night, you can only hear the sound of the waves.
The F&B staff are also very helpful.
The room is spacious.
The bathroom is nice.
The downsides are:
The Wi-Fi is very slow.
The AC in the gym isn't cold even when set to 16°.
The jacuzzi on the balcony isn't working.
The refrigerator is dead (it was replaced, although it took a while to arrive).
