Great and very clean, very comfortable

The room was nice and big, but it turned out the AC wasn't cold, it tended to be hot so I couldn't sleep even though in the end the technician was called who came in the middle of the night, it wasn't hot but it wasn't cold either, plus there were lots of mosquitoes and who knows what else made my body itchy while sleeping, the sound of the odong odong and karaoke people was very disturbing until 3 am there was still the sound of karaoke people, even though the room was on the 5th floor, hopefully there will be improvements soon from the hotel.

The room is spacious and clean, the staff is not too friendly but not rude, just normal. For a 2 or 3 star class, it's okay to have an elevator, as we know most people use stairs. So if you get a room above, it's also burdensome to carry things. But since there is an elevator, it helps. But the downside is sorry to say, I won't come back unless it's been renovated with soundproofing, the room is really noisy 😭 can't rest, got room 101 right facing the road, oh my gosh, it's so noisy, the sound of odong-odong like the sound of horeg passing by until 10 PM, the rest of the vehicle noise, oh my gosh, the noise is so bad it can't be tolerated, can't rest. Even though you're tired of going around, you want to rest.. because cleanliness and comfort are NUMBER ONE for an inn for me.. so for comfort it's still nil even though the room is quite spacious and clean..

Friendly prices and close to the city center

The price was affordable for two large beds for four people, and the room was very spacious. However, the hotel itself was a bit dated compared to the photos. The staff was also less than friendly.

As noted by reviews from those who have stayed here, the room facilities and amenities are dated. The towels and bedsheets are in need of replacement, especially since the absorbency is very minimal. The rooms and bathrooms are quite clean. One of the advantages of this accommodation is its proximity to the city center and popular culinary spots in Singkawang. Almost all tourist and culinary destinations are within walking distance.

I've stayed at Grand Mandarin twice when I had business back to Skw... The hotel is okay, the room, bathroom & hotel area are clean, the location is strategic, quite close to the market so it's just a short walk there, potential customers will become regular customers every time they go to Skw 😁

A place we always go to when we're in Singkawang. It's affordable with comfortable and spacious rooms.

I stayed for three nights and was disappointed. The room was quite large, close to the city center. The service was rude (unfriendly), the towels were worn, the AC wasn't cold, the bathroom was dirty, and the room was full of ants. Resting was interrupted by the noisy odong odong (traditional music instrument). Improve the facilities and cleanliness, and the receptionist should be friendly so guests won't be put off coming back.

Suggestion...it's time to replace the bath towels with new ones, they're already dull and the threads are coming out. The hotel's location is strategic, close to the city center.
