The Museum Bed & Breakfast is conveniently located to the Thamel shopping district by cab and close to the airport. There’s a really great farmers market every Saturday as well. My only two complaints are that the heating unit in the room broke and we were very cold at nighttime. They didn’t seem too interested in fixing the problem. The water pressure was also very weak and slow. Hopefully that can be fixed. There is a great little “health” food store on site as well as a nice cafe for breakfast and lunch. Also, there is a very good fine dining restaurant on site for dinner. There are a few other boutique shops on site. Charming place. Parking is available. The WiFi worked well most of the time. We had to reset the router for our room a few times.

From the time we checked in till checking out, the staff was attentive to our every need. They provided us with recommendations for day trips and even helped us with the bookings. The room was comfortable, clean and vibrant with its local themes. We stayed in the pottery room so it was interesting to have an insight to local clay making. As the name goes, its like staying in a Museum :) The food at the Everfresh cafe and Le Sherpa restaurant was excellent. The B&B is also located a short walking distance away from a restaurant serving food from the Newari culture.

Lovely hotel, with spacious, bright and tastefully decorated rooms. The mattress is huge, clean and so comfortable (trekkers, take note!). And yes, there is hot water and clean toilets too! The breakfast is served at the Everfresh cafe, and offers homemade nutritious granola! We also indulged in their vegan pies and flourless cakes. The staff is really caring, very knowledgeable and always happy to help. High five to Kanti who manages the daily duties without losing her warm smile. We have met guests who came back for their 7th time!
