A perfect location near the old town and Cathedral. Very comfortable bed and duvet. Did not read the fine print to realize the shared bathroom was on the 2nd floor but was not a bother. Would definitely go back again,

Location for city very good. Our room 6 was advertised as king bed but only double. Very tired decor. Meet-up with friends who had travelled down to meet us they had no toilet!!! Had to go upstairs to the toilet. When we left this morning no one around . Not hotel standard

Great stay but no one to answer the listed Emergency Phone number for use when property is not staffed. Everything was great but when trying to store luggage for a few hours at the end of the second day stay there was no one available at property nor on the posted emergency phone number

Would definitely return for another stay! The room itself had plenty of space for two, had what we needed and was comfortable to live in. For us, it was perfect for a short stay (we stayed two nights). The location was absolutely perfect too: only a few minutes walk to where we needed to be - city centre, cathedral, train station, etc. The only pieces of feedback I had was that i felt that the water pressure in the shower was a bit weak, and that the toilet was shared. For the toilet though, it was kept very clean throughout our stay. Even with these, it hasn't changed our 5/5 rating of the stay!

Great location for me, within walking distance of all the major sites, plenty of dining options nearby, the building itself was a treat! Staff was helpful. I was having a minor laundry emergency (a previous booking didn't have laundry services as advertised) and they were kind enough to accommodate me quickly and efficiently. The only down sides were seasonal. Our stay coincided with high temperatures and our room was stuffy, which is completely understandable, but the windows were not screened. Despite that, however, we very much enjoyed our stay and recommend it!

Bed linen crisp. Nice big pillows. Big television. Very noisy all day and night as in the centre and room on first floor by front door. Carpet in room stained and dirty. No breakfast offered despite saying from 8am to 10am. No reception in am even though it says from 8am. Shower and sink in bedroom feet away from bed. No ensuite. Common use toilet up 1 flight of stairs. When first arrived i was asked if my dog would bark as he barked in response to slamming front door snd voices outside. Dogs bark. Dont accept them if they are not to bark.

I needed city centre accommodation for 1 night at short notice for a reasonable price and The Coach House ticked multiple boxes for me. I was aware in advance of the limited facilities that are available in the hotel, so I was prepared to book on that premise. It turned out as I had expected, so I was happy with this during my stay. The hotel is in a safe area of the city centre, within easy walking distance of the bus station and both train stations. There are plenty of restaurants and pubs nearby, and a "Tesco Express" within 100 metres of the hotel. WiFi is available in the hotel, although I didn't use it as I had sufficient data allowance.....and surprisingly 4G connection.....which has historically been problematic in the city centre. As for my room, the bed was comfortable and there was sufficient space around it for my luggage. The shower cubicle was small, but the shower was ideal and I felt refreshed after use. The shared toilet is located on the 1st floor landing. To conclude, if you have a limited budget and aren't looking for luxurious accommodation then this hotel is well worth a visit 👍😉

The Coach House is ideally located for exploring Canterbury City Centre, Cathedral, St. Augustine's Abbey, etc without the need for a car. Tesco's for everyday essentials, Boots for emergency medication is right across the road. The guest house is dog friendly and the owners were very kind and loving towards our Labrador. As a B&B, we were rather surprised to find that no breakfast was to be included during our three night break. Breakfast is only served on Saturday and Sunday, we think. Dear Joanne Sorry but breakfast is not included and not available at The Coach House. There are many places close by where you can have breakfast. A couple of Cafe down the road when you turn left coming out of the building. If you want cooked breakfast, there is a place on Castle street called Chatterbox. Alternatively, there's Bill's and The Ivy on Rose Lane which are a bit pricier. Have a great stay! Ben There are seven bedrooms and owing to the age of the building and size of the Guest House, it would not be practical to put a lift in. You can select a room option, so FYI, rooms 6 and 7 are on the ground floor. I had booked room 1 assuming it to be ground floor, but it is 1st floor. The stairs are narrow and rather awkward for those with mobility issues. Our en suite comprised a nicely sized shower cubicle and a sink in the bedroom and a toilet across the landing to be shared with room 5. Our room was a good size, but the walls and ceiling were in need of sprucing up somewhat.

The hotel is well situated, and has a private parking for 4 cars. We could visit Canterbury by foot without any problem. The place is a bit old, but quite clean.

We had a fabulous stay at the Coach House in their comfortably large family room, where our dog was also welcome. We were hugely grateful they were able to accommodate us after the dreadful VRBO let us down badly (the place we'd booked turned out to be occupied by another guest and the landlord claimed it had been taken off VRBO several months earlier). When we found out at 7.30pm that there was no actual booking available and had to find an alternative ourselves, the Coach House could not have been more friendly or helpful. We were very appreciative and would stay there again if visiting Canterbury. We will certainly NEVER book anything again with the truly terrible VRBO who couldn't have been more useless. The only slight niggle was that the bathroom wasn't en suite, but across the landing outside the bedroom door. But it didn't appear to be used by anyone else, so not a major problem.
