I enjoyed my first night in Arusha, but the lack of hot water and water pressure made my shower less than what I expected.

Great hotel, awesome service, smiles all around. Only drawback was sparsity of hot water and water pressure in the shower. Be patient at the restaurant, food is great, service is awesome, but it takes a bit of time to get your food. Pôlé Pôlé.

Service and Resturant are good. The owners have forgotten to maintain the property. Stayed twice. Both rooms have broken tiles, drain problems, water taps are all broken. Windows don’t close properly. Sewer smells coming from drains. Broken spring in mates stick out. Need a construction man around to fix things.

Staff was very friendly and efficient. They offered every service to make our stay comfortable. The AC of our room was broken, staff, make sure to give us a fan and also an alternate room.

Of all of the hotels I have stayed at across several countries over the past two months, this hotel was the best value. The service was as helpful and friendly as you could ask for. Service is a little slow in the restaurant, but good service and food quality.

We stayed at the Charity Hotel for a night and then left to go on safari. The hotel kept our luggage that we didn't need on the safari, which was very convenient. Upon our return, we stayed two more nights to relax from five days of safari. Having a restaurant on site was SO nice. We could just walk downstairs and didn't have to worry about finding a place to eat in Arusha. We upgraded our room on the last two nights and had a very nice suite. After spending several nights in a tent on the safari, it was nice to be able to spread out! The staff, both at the front desk and restaurant, were very friendly and accommodating. The garden area is beautiful! It's like an oasis in Arusha! As a matter of fact, it's so lovely that there was a wedding held there one night. My only suggestion is to have a better system for guests to pay by credit card. Their machine wasn't working, which forced us to pay by cash. Fortunately, we had enough, but as a potential guest, that is something to be aware of. That said, I think the Charity Hotel is the best option for staying in Arusha!

Restaurant open until late, which was excellent. Nice food. The hotel has its own private courtyard which is very peaceful compared to the street. Room was a bit worn down. Mosquito nets had some holes in them. AC was in working condition, which was excellent. There was hot water, pressure was mediocre. Reception clerk was helpful.

Some of the staff was not very friendly. This is the kitchen staff. The others tried real hard but the restaurant staff wasn’t helping them either. The girl that attends our room was very sweet so I tipped her extra.

We were visiting Arusha to learn about a friends mission to school age girls and stayed at Charity Hotel. Pricing was very reasonable. The food was good the first night, but progressively got worse towards the end of our stay. We checked out to go on safari, stored our bags in the managers office and made new reservations for after the safari ... upon our return we found they sold our rooms. To correct the wrong, they put us in rooms that smelled like the exterminator had just sprayed the rooms... awful.

The positives are that the location is peaceful, the garden is spectacular. The rooms are a reasonable size, and the staff are friendly and willing to help. The negatives are that its in a run down area, you must take transport to town. The rooms need updating, and corridors can be noisy. (Tiled floors) I came back here after my safari, so overall I liked it.

Our trio shared a room upon our arrival in Arusha one night before heading to Zanzibar then again for one night before climbing Kilimanjaro. They held our luggage for us for free while we were galavanting around East Africa. The included breakfast was great and the driver we used to go shopping was very friendly and helpful. The staff was very friendly and helpful with all of our silly questions and patient when we didn't understand how to get the lights, fan and water heater going. Loved it!

The staff was amazing and very friendly! Form the moment we arrived they came to the car to help with our bags. The place is so beautiful with a wonderful garden where you can sit for your meals.

This is an older hotel, but staff is great, very nice and helpful. We arrived at 9am and they let us go into the room without any issues. They let us leave our luggage in the hotel while we went on our safari. Overall, a great place to stay while in Arusha

Weather was about average for this time of year. Stayed a week had some business locally and some time for fun as well. Clean and very well kept hotel. Staff was very accomodating at all hours. Grounds are immaculate and the Manager is a top notch operator and person. I highly recommend this hotel as I am a Platinum Mariott Member and usually do not stray from my routine. I am glad I did and will be back!
