Brilliantly clean and the hosts had thought about everything for a perfect stay. Very tasty superb choice of breakfast in a lovely room overlooking the very pretty garden. Possibility the bedroom was ready for a refresh of paint and a few pictures on the walls would be a bonus but a very very enjoyable stay.

It was charming, particularly with the garden in back, which we heard hosted a small wedding the day before we arrived. Breakfast was included and my husband, who is a Brit, loved the full English breakfast. It was great.

I had a very adequate single room, which was quiet. An ideal one night visit, with a good breakfast.

Lovely, peaceful stay with very attentive hosts. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and good value for money considering the location and the fact that there was a great breakfast each morning.

We really enjoyed our overnight stay at West Lodge. We had a tranquil garden room so there was no outside noise at all. We also enjoyed being one of two couples in the dining room. Upon ringing the bell the owner arrived promptly and took our orders for cooked breakfast. It soon arrived and was of excellent quality. We will definitely book again if we are in the locality.

Mike and Julie are very helpful for arranging everything we need. The room is very comfy and well arranged. The breakfast is freshly made as order. Definitely will revisit in the near future.

Mike and Julie, the hosts, would go out of their way for you, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfasts were great, a good choice from the buffet, and the cooked breakfast, plenty of options - delicious! My husband and I will certainly be going back, providing his health allows. This was a 1-night stay for work. Free parking at location, nice welcome from host. I was staying in room 5 (which is their smallest room) but it still had everything I needed including my own toilet and shower. TV was okay as was WiFi. Shower was not powerful. Was allowed access to the garden which was very pleasant at the end of a long day. Decaf tea and coffee provided (as requested). Some places within walking distance to eat. I walked to the Indian restaurant called Mela (20 minute walk), there were 2 pubs closer. There was a choice of hot and cold for breakfast (included in the price of the room), I had the cooked breakfast, which was okay apart from the very tough bacon.

I really liked the architecture of the building and the host and staff were very lovely. The price being reasonable was an added bonus
