Beautifully decorated and very clean rooms, Rui and son were very friendly and welcoming they had great local knowledge of the area and were extremely helpful.overall a wonderful hotel.

This was the best hotel experience we ever had! They are so accommodating and hospitable. Breakfast was great and we had a location to put our car in free parking. Plenty of delicious restaurants within walking distance.

The hotel was lovely, for a two star hotel. I did not realize it when I booked, but they proudly display this fact at their entrance gate. Speaking of the entrance gate, once you go through it, there are two flights of stairs to get to the registration area and rooms. No elevator. My husband was not impressed! The room was adequate, but not what was expected for a "nice" hotel. The bathroom and especially shower were very small. The towels were thin. It is family owned, run by a father and son. They were very nice and helpful, suggesting things to do when the main monuments were closed due to risk of fire. They also pointed out where to park for free, a few blocks away. There is a laundry mat next door. If I went back, I'd find a different place to stay.

Perfect location, great staff, good breakfast. Room small but we know it when we booked, however perfect for our needs. To be considered a lot of stairs that could be a problem. Definitively a good place to stay!!

Hotel Nova Sintra was our favorite stay on our Portugal trip. Rui and Simao made us feel like we were visiting family. Excellent!

Love this property!! Great location, beautiful outdoor space and pool. So relaxing and quiet! The breakfast was wonderful and the staff very accommodating! I would highly recommend this place when visiting Cascais

The Hotel Nova Sintra deserves 10 stars! The owner and his son set the standard for how to treat hotel guests. We felt so welcomed and appreciated. The hotel itself is lovely from the entrance and throughout. Breakfast was delicious with eggs, meats, cheeses, breads, yogurt, pastries, coffees and juice. It was just perfect! Our room was comfortable, clean and spacious and the terrace was perfect for an evening cocktail. Honestly, we stayed at a five star hotel in Lisbon prior and the hospitality at this hotel blew them out of the water!

This is a family run business. It shows caring in all aspects of the business. Check in was great, information about the area was very well done. We felt very much at home. Check out was smooth and helpful. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Amazing location to explore Sintra! This is a family run boutique hotel (father and son), and they are extremely welcoming and friendly. They were able to give us all the local tips for navigating the area, and the location itself was perfect walking distance to the bus loop which covers all the major points of Sintra. Plenty of restaurants are nearby, and the hotel itself is clean and charming with a great breakfast.

Central for what we needed, easy walk to the historic center, good eating places near by. We were here for a family party, English and Portuguese cousins, in a near by Palácio. Photo below ( not our hotel )

We had an amazing time here. The father and son who run the hotel are amazing stewards for Portugal. They were welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Their recommendations for restaurants, tours and wine were perfect!

What a lovely place! Everything was wonderful from the welcome to the breakfast to the genuine host, Rui! It's a short walk to the palace/town but provided relaxation after busy days! The rooftop patio was a treat as well. Even after my stay, Rui took the time to send a forgotten personal belonging back to me - well above and beyond host duties. I cannot thank him enough!

Amazing hotel. Great location, walking distance from the train station and close to the old town area. We will definitely stay again in the future. The host was very friendly and helpful in telling us about the area. This was the best hotel we stayed at during our honeymoon.

Rui is an outstanding host. Very friendly and very helpful. Breakfasts were very good, especially the fresh breads and the jams. Location is perfect. Beds were not that comfortable but just ok.

Cosy small hotel. Very polite staff. Convenient parking location. Excellent breakfast. Attic room is quite small but view is excellent.
