Excellent location to main center and transportation. Room was clean but hot water was very spotty. Front desk staff was friendly but couldn’t give any information on how to get to places on public transportation. They were inexperienced. Hotel breakfast was excellent and started at 6am.

Ended up checking out the night before we should have left, the AC had packed in and the windows were locked - on a 26ºc day the room was like a death trap. Bed was so lightweight it moved across the floor when you sit on it, and really firm. The bathroom was from the 90's and was given a disabled access room, meaning the toilet was not even 7 inches away from the sink making it near impossible to sit on it without wedging your knee under. Then the final straw was stepping out of the shower to 3 tiles that had obviously given way on the joist underneath, so sank and nipped my foot as the tiles went together. The place is tired, the staff couldn't really care less - but the breakfast and location is excellent.

The hotel itself was great. Our room backed onto an alley way and it was a bit noisy at times in the early hours. Breakfast and staff were very good.

The morning front office and breakfast staff were excellent in all respects - efficiency; friendliness; helpfulness; attitude towards guests etc. Sadly this did not extend to the afternoon/evening crew: never greeted incoming guests with a smile on returning over 4 days; guests were treated as an inconvenience to deal with; not welcomed with a smile on checking in - sign here 3 times; lifts around the corner first door on right; here are your keys; bye! Arrived on a very wet night with several bags; cab driver very helpful but was chewed out by a male supervisor for putting a bag against an automatic door but made no effort to move it or take to reception to assist couple in mid-70's; just kept scowling. Thanks so much. Welcome to the Hampton. Observed this same attitude to other incoming guests - not an isolated case at all. Morning crew 5/5; evening 2/5 and being generous. Breakfast food selection good and replenished quickly; tables cleaned promptly; staff friendly and courteous. Maintenance staff fixed a door issue promptly but liaison was with morning crew. Certainly a mixed bag. Rooms are smallish but adequate and housekeeping done efficiently. Maybe management could observe for them selves discreetly and make some changes in attitudes.

Hotel was a short walk from city shops and restaurants. Was underwhelmed by entrance, reception and dining areas which had a very budget feel to them. Room was comfortable though very small.

Great value for a hotel in central Glasgow. Quick check in although having to wait 15 minutes until 3pm wasn’t the best.

Want a stay in downtown Glasgow? This is the place. Very clean rooms. Good AC. Awesome shower. Breakfast had lots to offer. Top of the list for downtown Glasgow.

The property was great . Very clean . The staff hospitality is wanting. Almost borderline rude. especially the Gentleman who was at the check out desk and lady who was at the check in desk early morning yesterday.

Really nice, handily placed, hotel, with good breakfast options. Would definitely stay again.

Horrible, avoid. Reception staff ok . Noisy, club nearby blasting till 2am. Maid service didn't bother, room not cleaned, dirty towels. Had to call reception for clean ones. Avoid at costs.

Very clean. Staff welcoming and helpful. Bar area very comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was excellent with great choices of hot or cold food. Would definitely stay her e again.

Room was the nicest of all our stay in Europe. Breakfast was good and staff was lovely. Only issue was the cost of parking with no in out services. Very expensive so be prepared.

The hotel is in a great location with shopping and dining options in easy walking distance, Also only a 10-15 minute walk to the train station. Hot breakfast is good with plenty of options. Staff was helpful and generally friendly. Hotel felt very safe. Hotel and room itself was clean and comfortable. The only issue we experienced was with housekeeping failing to leave enough towels on the second night, and also failed to replace the two glasses in the room which had clearly been used by us. Front desk staff took care of the towel issue, delivering more than enough towels after we reported it. This issue caused me to ding them one star in the "cleanliness" category, but I still give the hotel 5 stars overall.
