Great stay, friendly staff, very accommodating. Service and food was great, and a very reasonable price compared to eating out these days.

Very nice! We stayed in the multi-bed suite and were very comfortable. Perfect for a family of 4-6 including children. Great shower!

Lets start with the positives , Really good shower , excellent TV with Netflix . Hard work to find somebody to check in , never saw a member of staff after that . the pub is a typical high street pub on a Saturday , so not appealing to eat , but they closed the kitchen at 7.30 so not an issue . My biggest gripe however was NO breakfast , not told on arrival , happened to read it on a piece of paper in the room , not what you expect from a room that cost £100+ . oh and I did not get offered the voucher ( see photo ) . , "walk to Greggs my arse" wont be booking again

Really lovely warm welcome on arrival. Room was perfect with plenty of space, very comfortable bed.

Great little place in Treorchy. Very impressed with the rooms and very polite and helpful staff. Only drawback is more structural as there seems to be subsidence (or similar) and this causes the shower to overflow onto the floor and out of the tray (seems it is leaning to the door and not going down the drain. Rm 1. Creating wet area having to ram the floor towel to stop it going everywhere. Not a criticism but maybe add bigger door seals at the bottom of the shower door or put a higher lip on the 'tray' etc.

Does not serve dinner on Sunday nor breakfast any day of the week. Bathroom was cramped and with black tile and paint made it difficult to see controls in shower. Fire alarm went off one morning but there was no staff to say it was false alarm. We had to find out for ourselves there was no fire

Stayed in a twin room. It was tiny. £5 Greggs voucher was offered in total for two people in place of breakfast.

Great hotel, clean with the local pub below! Only downside is parking not fantastic.

Room was nice, the pub itself had a lively vibrant feel to it with the staff being fantastic and the locals very friendly. The food in the pub was good, no breakfast though but that wasn't a problem for us and tbf at the price for the room it wasn't even expected, although a £5 Greggs card was issued which I wasn't expecting so that was nice! Used it to subsidise a coffee n cake while we planned our day. I would happily recommend a stay given the price and the friendliness of the staff....hence the review!

Very clean and comfortable ... plus a great shower. Would definitely book the Cardiff Arms Bistro Hotel again!

Rooms were lovely great space and facilities. Unfortunately the last night I stayed there a noisy neighbour ruined by have mates around

It was just what we needed for a overnight stay clean and tidy and warm. The bar was good and staff very friendly. The only thing we felt that would make it better was if they did breakfast but they do give you a Greggs voucher for 5 pounds per couple so overall it was good value for the money we would stay there again.

Amazing staff very helpfull

We spent a couple of days in the family room. My girls (7 and 13) were delighted by the room, as were my husband and I. We didn't want to leave! The family room was gorgeous and modern with luxurious touches, and yet a very practical setup. The room was immaculate, which is something that I always dread when staying away from home, so that was such a relief! Hats off to the cleaning team! It was also so refereshing to spend time in property that isn't part of a chain company. We travelled to Barry Island, which was an hour away during a lunchtime commute. There's so much to travel to in relation to sight seeing a stones throw away. We definitely didn't mind the distance because the comfort that the room provided us with was wonderful. We ate at the bistro next door and the food was fab - something for everyone. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back! :)
