We really liked the property in the area it was located in. The room was large despite being very basic. The beds were comfortable and it had a very large bathroom with an excellent bath. We were only disappointed by the fact that the swimming pool can only be used in the evening by appointment only which we were not told when we checked in. We were unable to use the pool when we wanted to for this reason. This was a big letdown as we booked this particular hotel due to it having a pool. I would stay here again as the the overall stay was good, just need clearer instructions on certain things

Lovely place! We did a one night break to go around Ghent, when driving back home from the Netherlands, and certainly we regret we didn't stay longer :-)

We had a nice one night stop over with a massive room for our family of 5. The staff were welcoming and friendly. It is an odd building and pretty tired. Very ‘Fawlty towers’ / art deco / retro. Could be cleaner. We did not eat there. Easy metro to the centre of Ghent which is truely beautiful.

Fantastic stay for my 3 days. Plenty of parking and a very pleasant walk into the town, although it is around 30 minutes away. Easy access to the St Pieters train station. Excellent sized rooms, comfortable and clean.

The front desk staff was very nice, and the property was very clean and beautiful. The area was quiet residential area which was good for us. Only one small thing is my sister's and mom's cosmetics disappeared from their luggage. Besides that, the hotel is superb.

Very helpful on reception. Some breakfast service was better than others. Maybe wearing headphones hinders hearing the customers' requests. Ckeaning staff on Sunday was excellent, other days not so. I still think there is a tiwel under the bed that must have been there before we arrived. Ionly saw it when I checking before we left. I would certainly vidit this hotel again. The swimming pool is bejue and quirky but very needed after a busy day at the Christmas markets.

The staff is incredibly helpful. The private pool is a huge plus. About 15 minute walk to the train station and about 35 minutes to the town center.

Hotel Orion is a lovely art deco building with lots of charme and wonderful staff. Check in and out was very easy, and having a secure carpark for a small fee was really great. We were able to do laundry for a small fee also. The staff were very accommodating and friendly and always happy to help. The breakfast had a great variety of food and the dining area was also very nice. The walk from the hotel to the city centre is lovely and will only take about 30 minutes.

Not the greatest night sleep. The noise above our room was bad not sure if there is another room or stairs but it was bad that it kept disturbing us and kept us awake. Pool we feel was not clean and sauna was not free.

The hotel is located in a lovely area , the property looks stylish on the outside and there is plenty of parking. On arrival I had a warm welcome by a lady called Megany (apologies for the spelling). She was very helpful and a joy to speak with. The room was nice and spacious but I found the decor to be too dark for a room that doesn’t have enough lighting. The air con worked well , and the room had a safe and a mini bar/fridge. I slept very well and the mattress was very comfortable. The bathroom was also nice, with a separate shower head and shower hose. Hair dryer included also. I would of preferred more towels as they weren’t replaced when the room was cleaned. I was left with just one. The breakfast was ok, but I felt the selection was minimal and I didn’t know there was some hot choices until I took a closer look. (Perhaps a sign to show location of hot food?). It was nice to have freshly squeezed orange juice. The location of the hotel to Ghent, was perfect , a tram ride to the center took 10mins. And if you like to walk it’s not bad 45min walk. I walked the way back. Overall the friendly staff made my stay enjoyable, it was nice to see a mixture of people working at the hotel and guests. I would stay again.
