The views from the Lake View Terrace rooms were incredible and everything we expected and more! The firm bed was comfy and the bathroom offering everything you’d expect, with a brilliant shower. We had a fantastic breakfast each day with very attentive staff ready to organise items not available from the buffet. We had lovely oat milk cappuccinos each morning and decaf options were available. The onsite restaurant and rooftop bar offered a great option during a rainy day, should you decide for a day at the hotel for some R&R. We had help organising a transfer to Malpensa airport which saved us 2 hours of public transport (although at a significant cost). Whilst the hotel is tucked away from the busier areas, buses to Como, Bellagio, Varenna were easy to use (you can pay by card on the bus) and trains are available. Holiday of a lifetime!

Limited parking space and has to book in advance. Otherwise a good place to enjoy the lake and surrounding. Staffs are friendly. Dining experience is ok and could be improved

Lovely view of Lake Como and Lecco from the top floor. Staff were polite and welcoming. Bus stop was less than 100yards away - with good transport to Lecco station and Bellagio. I went for a room upgrade with a lake view terrace - I didn’t use the terrace as much as I’d hoped as there were insects and mosquitoes there - so bring some repellent with you if you go for that option. Although this is much quieter than Lecco and other larger towns, there is still traffic passing through and plenty of people walking up and down the lake front next to the hotel - so it isn’t silent, there is still some life around you.

Best hotel we've stayed in. The service and hospitality of this hotel is more like 5 stars. They were polite, amazingly accomidating, very approachable and helpful. I come back to Malgrate just to stay in this lovely hotel. The view from the rooms was breathtaking and the rooms were spotless clean and huge in size

Great friendly staff

Great location on the waterfront. Staff were very helpful and quick to attend to any of our needs. A great spread for breakfast. Rooms were on the smaller side especially when you are traveling with big suitcases.

Lovely modern property. Very likable staff but not adequately trained. We emailed to make a fine dining reservation at Lisander. The front desk was teaming w young staff but no one could find the reservation. They then made one. We arrived at the restaurant 2 hours later to find it closed for a private function. The covered part of the roof deck bar was also closed for the same private group. A staff member went out of her way to make it up to us dropping us at the pizza bistro on the property, and ensuring that several dining items were comped, however the front desk was not helpful. There are several room amenity issues: no magnifying mirror in bath, no wash clothes available. One chair for 2 guests, a nespresso maker would be nice, shower stone floor lovely but slippery. Overall, it is a lovely property w room planning issues and staff training issues that could be remedied easily. Considering the hefty room charge, the value is not there. Because of the inconveniences, it would have been appropriate to comp the parking charge. The breakfast was lovely, but the overall experience was not good,
