Excellent all round

Beautiful peaceful and restful overlooking the canals of Paynesville. Very spacious apartments with everything you could need. Only a short walk to the ferry and town. Very warm and cosy in May.

Had as problem with gaining access to the property as the reception was not open in spite of check-in supposedly by open from 2-10pm. A message had been sent to my phone but I was unable to access it. Eventually, we found out that the reception at Mariner's Cove was dealing with Captain's Cove: not ideal and very frustrating. A simple note on the reception door sayi8ng go to Mariners Cove would have made the experience much more eniybale.

Everything was just great.

Close to Raymond Island with its koalas and Kangaroos. Superb bird life.

Beautiful 3 bedroom place on the cove. The back deck looks right onto the cove and the view is beautiful and so peaceful. The place was quite large and very nice and clean. We loved that there was a washer and dryer and all the ammenities we could possibly need. We would have loved to stay longer.

Didn't like the noisy pool area

We absolutely loved our stay here. The unit was spacious, clean and very comfortable. We were able to choose between relaxing on the upper or lower deck overlooking the water - blissful. Would highly recommend a stay here. Ideal for a family or friends. Eateries just a few minutes walk away.

Over all the property catered to all our needs,beds were very comfortable,kitchen well equipped . The only problem I found was the toilets found it difficult to close the door in downstairs area. A design error.

Location was unexpectedly scenic for Victoria and pleasant grassy terrace dining area cute watching the action on the waterways.

Bit too open for me no real privacy , very pretty outlook , unit spotless..

Water frontage was so relaxing! Immaculately kept apartment and gardens. Was a peaceful and quiet get away. Will choose Captain Coves again for our next visit

Lovely spot. Two couples easily shared this 2 storey unit. Excellent location, we had our own electric BBQ, carport 2 outdoor sitting areas. Highly recommended.

excellent stay in a well appointed apartment with great activities and friendly staff. beds were a little uncomfortable with sheets which weren't fitted and were scratchy. We wanted to hire bikes but were unable to do due to the office being closed all the time

Very unimpressed with our stay at Captains Cove. The whole resort felt tired and way past its best. Our unit wasn’t clean. Toilet roll holders still had the mostly used rolls from the previous guests. On the terrace area an ashtray was overflowing with cigarette butts. The hot water ran out quickly. The position on the water is great but doesn’t justify the high price. One positive was the king bed that was very comfortable. Paynesville is a lovely spot and our trip to see the koalas on Raymond Island was great. I would simply never stay at Captains Cove again

Excellent two night stay with 5 adults accommodated. Best night’s sleep in a very comfortable bed. I’ll bring the boat next time.
