Staff are pleasant but the hotel is pretty grim. Let’s just say it hasn’t moved with the times lol. The restaurant was shut but the location is fantastic, directly on the square, with lots of restaurants to choose from. It was a value for money stop on our way back to Nice. You get what you pay for.

This auberge is situated in the centre of Castellane, with a river at the rear that you can swim in. The breakfast was varied and there was plenty of it, lovely staff who were very friendly and helpful. There is a large rear shaded terrace which was quiet snd you could relax have a drink. Castellane has a friendly, busy but relaxed vibe, plenty to see and do. I would definitely stay again. Ask for a room on the rear so that it is hidden from the buzz of the square.

Lovely area, would definitley visit again! Rooms were a little small which caused issues with the doors, fans didn't work in rooms, but nothing that prevented us from having a lovely time!

The hotel is well located in the center of Castellane and provides parking. The bathroom was nice but the room was very small for two people.

Nice little place in a nice little village that is not overrun by tourists. Plenty of parking on the street behind the hotel. Good restaurant too.

It was a very nice short stay in the very cute town. The restaurant food as great as well! We had breakfast and dinner and both were very good quality food. The rooms were good for the overnight stay.

Great hotel in a perfect location in town. Castellene is a wonderful place to stay with lots to do , great restaurants and beautiful views.

Not a lot of options in Castellane and rooms are rather overpriced for what you get. OK for one night if you’re not too demanding but there is no elevator (however, staff offered to carry the suitcase upstairs) and the parking was not really usable due to huge water puddles.

Castellane is a small picturesque town with the ability to hike above to many viewpoints. Very friendly staff at check in and in the hotel dining room. The food was wonderful at dinner and we were happy they served dinner because in the fall most places were closed for the season.

Un hôtel à « l’ancienne » comme je les aimes L’accueil est fort sympathique, la chambre cosy, propre et confortable. Je recommande !

È uno di quei posti che andrebbero preservati. Un hotel storico, che mantiene il fascino del passato, ma che ha investito nella sistemazione delle camere. La nostra era spaziosa, confortevole, pulita. La colazione è molto curata, con tante opzioni dolci e salate. Il personale accogliente e gentilissimo. La semplicità delle cose fatte bene. Ecco perché questo hotel va provato.

Sejour d’une nuitée, acceuil agréable, chambre petite mais propre et silencieuse. Mettre 2 oreillers serait un plus.. petit dejeuner correct Établissement vieillissant ce qui peut faire aussi son charme...
