The room was spacious, and the windows were pretty new; there weren’t any salt erosion/chips marks on the glass and they were very clean! The water was either too hot or tepid for taking a shower (temp kept vacillating between those two). Gorgeous view and comfy bed. Also, there were four chairs and a nice kitchenette.

We've been here several times. Not fancy, but clean, everything works, courteous staff, great location and views.

The first disappointment was the office, - a stale old man's smell. When we entered the room we realized that the office was not so bad. Our room had a disgusting, incredibly nasty stale stench. The excellent, delightful view from the window on the rocky ocean shore was only positive, BUT terrible stinkiness couldn't keep us in the room to enjoy view. Kitchen appliances and other equipment are extremely old. To our surprise, with the exception of a broken coffee maker, everything works properly, including plumbing. Very badly smelling kitchen towels. Old, darkened with time, washed-out bed linen. Absolutely unjustified cost for such a low level.We will never return here for a vacation. This is the most disgusting experience for our family.

Ocean view was beautiful but the mold in the room was not. It was in the bathroom and window of our studio. My daughter and I are really sensitive to mold and she is now suffering from it. The kitchen cast iron pan was disgusting and had to be washed plus most of the dishes we used were washed first, then agin after. There was black hair in our sheets of both beds plus hair in the bathroom. The shower leaked out so bad it flooded the floor. I had to get multiple floor mat towels as it drenched each one. The walk to the beach is a workout, which was fine for my kids wearing them out helped out.

The view was fantastic! Kitchen and furniture a little dated. Very clean. There was a hot water issue it would fluctuate from hot to cold while taking a shower.

Smelled like old dog when we entered our room. The drip pans on the stove were not the correct size, so the burners did not sit flat. We were able to use 1 of the small burners to cook on. When I book a room with a kitchen, I expect it to have a fully functioning stove.

Tight parking but if a view of the ocean is what you seek this place is great

Great view and clean room. (Room 105). Room condition kind of shaky-window frame falling apart/rusty and grimy; torn carpet by the fireplace; door bolt very difficult to slide; bathroom door beat up and rusty. Looks like the salty air is winning the battle. Also had a drone hovering near our window at the shoreline.

Cottage116 was a nice size but there was NO full size kitchen as in the description there was no kitchen at all. I bought all this food to make but had no where to cook it. There was a dorm size frig and microwave. Very disappointed

A vintage property with Ocean view. Many small comforts provided, and it is cozy.

Overall our stay was great, however the main thing that can be improved is that the queen bed is quite old and not the most comfortable to sleep on. Pillows also are way too soft which can cause some neck pain. We loved the wonderful unobstructed view of the Pacific ocean from our living room. I did not like the constant noise from upstairs neighbours non stop stomping even late at night. The kitchen was well equipped with basic utensils and cookware to prepare meals. Staff are super friendly and the check in/check out process was super easy and simple. I would definitely stay at Ester Lee motel again.

The staff were very attentive. The view spectacular. The room clean. The kitchen area looked like something from the 1950s. The fridge looked like it had been through a fire. The biggest issue was the bed. The right side of the bed was wet. It didn't smell like urine and I hope it wasn't. I didn't notice it until being asleep an hour. When i notified the office in the morning, they were very kind and prompt to exchange a mattress.

Beautiful elevated view of the ocean. Not a cookie cutter hotel chain. Enjoyed its uniqueness.

If you want an ocean front view, this is your place!

We had a lovely weekend here. It’s really close to the beach and to coffee. Will stay here again!

The location of the hotel is simply perfect, the views from the rooms are spectacular. I’ve been staying for years here and the front desk staff is very nice, they love pets and it is close to everything. It is not a fancy place but it feels warm and the views of the ocean from the rooms are amazing.

The views bring us back! The property is very old but slowly some improvements are made. We were very pleased with our room. It was clean and comfortable. Very basic amenities. We will return!

Older motel but newly remodeled and was what we were looking for. Great large corner window and two other large adjoining windows to see the ocean which was about 100’ below us that made it feel we were right on top of it. Fully stocked kitchen along with the nice size living room furnished with a couch, 2 smaller chairs and a small kitchenette table with two chairs. Parking was excellent having being about 20 feet to the room, all parking was that way. Great experience and will go back.
