Check in was straightforward enough at the bar of The Keelman itself, given the option to add breakfast on the glasshouse the morning after too. They then walked us the short distance to our room (in the lodge section). Nice clean room, clean towels and bed sheets etc. bathroom clean and tidy. Only slight niggle would be the dust on the light fitting (but that's me being picky). Had a good night's sleep, nothing to fault them on. Surroundings are great, nice big outdoor beer garden with plenty of seating and shade. Dog friendly with water facilities and tasty beer! There's a riverside walk through the park which if followed takes you to Hadrian's Wall ~1hr walk. We booked this over any city centre accommodation due to it being quieter and much better value even factoring in taxi fare to and from the city centre.

Considering its attached to a busy pub, reasonably quiet and nice accommodation in a separate building of bungalows.

Great 3 night stay at the Keelman. Check in nice and easy, staff friendly and very helpful. Room was good, big enough for us, and had all we needed, bed comfortable, shower really good, clean and tidy. (Maybe could do with a fridge) the surroundings were very nice, a short walk to the Riverside park. Bar and restaurant were lovely, and nice outside sitting area. Food and beers excellent, especially the Prince Bishop, would definitely stay here again

While the room itself was a bit dated, the connecting brew pub had lots of outdoor seating and good food options. Staff were friendly and helpful.

From arrival we were really impressed with this place. The lady greeting us and showing us to our room, was lovely and made us feel welcome from the outset. I’m not sure if this lady is the owner, but she was always busy and appeared to show genuine concern that guests needs were being taken care of. Room was large and comfortable, with all amenities required. Attached bar/ restaurant was comfortable and served a range of well priced meals and drinks. We didn’t use it, but the outside dining area looked lovely.

The staff are very hospitable and professional. We had an easy check in and the rooms were lovely. Dinner and breakfast were top notch! We were able to get a good recommendation for Hadrians Haulers as well. Thank you it was a delightful experience.

Was extremely disappointed to find there was no WiFi in the room I enquired at the bar to be told that it didn’t reach as far as the room but I was welcome to work in the bar area. Not ideal for working or streaming considering the room info said there was WiFi.

The Keelman is in a lovely spot by the Tyne. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The refreshments were great and very well received after a long walk! Food at the pub was also very nice.

Three 50 lads enjoyed a night at brewery here and then a night out in the toon. Great size room for 3 and for price was great value! Full English Breakfast was ok but I’d say a tad pricey. Staff in bar were fab.

Outstanding hospitality. My room was clean and comfortable and quiet - everything I needed. The hostess was very helpful with checking in. Breakfast was delicious and fulling with plenty of coffee to start the day. Additionally, I forget my phone charger and by prior night's lodging. The hostess was kind enough to track down a charger from the staff and charge up my phone to get me through the day. Thank you!! Great Hotel, Great Staff, and Great Food!

Comfortable & convenient stay for an early flight from Newcastle. Property very noisy — doors bang, walls not very thick to dampen sound. Room dusty/cobwebs, hairs in bathroom, just looking a little tired. No staff overnight & nowhere to deposit room key out of hours. On site pub very good & plenty of parking. Pricey for what it offered, but comfortable enough.
