The overall stay was good at the Anasa hotel. It was hot while we were there and even though you’re in the room, the AC shutoff in the middle of the night every night, and we couldn’t figure out what we needed to do to prevent it. We paid for a Superior room that sleeps 3, we got one with only had two twin beds. The rooms are small and barely fit our luggage with the ability to move around comfortably. The bathroom was nice and clean; however the first towels I got had a couple small stains, and hair from the dryer stuck inside one. They also cleaned the room and took away not only soiled towels we kept under the sink, but also ones that we had up to dry and were going to reuse, along with my shower cap, which I was saving to use the next morning. They did respond in a timely manner when we needed anything.
We had coordinated transfers from the airport. I was coming straight to the hotel and had a good driver (they use a taxi service), but my friend who came a day later did not. She asked beforehand if she could be dropped to meet us outside and have her bags dropped to the hotel; staff said it was fine. The driver was unaware of the situation and was irritated towards her, when she had clearly communicated to them. The staff seemed to not care which was frustrating. We coordinated our own ride back to the airport for less money and hassle.
We slept well, outside noise was minimal, and it seemed safe. There’s an elevator in this hotel & cafe that was never seen in use.
