Anasa looks stylish but I had a few problems. When I arrived at the hotel at about 1.30pm the doors were closed and locked and there was no one on the desk. Another guest was also stuck outside in the 32 deg heat. Eventually a couple of people came out of the hotel and my fellow traveller and I were at least able to get in the lobby. Eventually I found a member of staff and waited a hour till I could check in. I was given a glass of water. The room was clean and functional. Only basic provisions - sachets of Nescafé, soda and pop but no mini bar. Bed was a bit uncomfortable - a very firm mattress. Worst thing was that the card key for my room didn’t work 9 times out of 10, which was stressful as I was coming back late at night on my own. They didn’t manage to fix it in the six days I was there. Fortunately there was a night concierge who had a manual key so every time he had to come up in the lift with me to let me into the room. It was a pain that I could have done without. All the staff were helpful and friendly but somehow the Anasa feels quite impersonal. They prefer to use WhatsApp to communicate with their guests. Overall it was ok but I wouldn’t stay there again.

Really lovely boutique hotel. I arrived in the early hours and was warmly greeted. The hotel is on a pedestrianised street and the view is just of other buildings but this is good value for money. The road seemed a bit sketchy but I think that is just Athens with graffiti and whatnot. Hotel is located in a great walkable place. I walked to the acropolis, syntagma, monastically, and even into plaka with lively restaurants, cafes and shops all nearby. Hotel is tastefully decorated and the team at reception are really friendly (helped book taxis, greeted you warmly as you leave, shared the correct website for the acropolis, stored the luggage) with complimentary filtered water and drinks. Great stay and will definitely be back!!

The overall stay was good at the Anasa hotel. It was hot while we were there and even though you’re in the room, the AC shutoff in the middle of the night every night, and we couldn’t figure out what we needed to do to prevent it. We paid for a Superior room that sleeps 3, we got one with only had two twin beds. The rooms are small and barely fit our luggage with the ability to move around comfortably. The bathroom was nice and clean; however the first towels I got had a couple small stains, and hair from the dryer stuck inside one. They also cleaned the room and took away not only soiled towels we kept under the sink, but also ones that we had up to dry and were going to reuse, along with my shower cap, which I was saving to use the next morning. They did respond in a timely manner when we needed anything. We had coordinated transfers from the airport. I was coming straight to the hotel and had a good driver (they use a taxi service), but my friend who came a day later did not. She asked beforehand if she could be dropped to meet us outside and have her bags dropped to the hotel; staff said it was fine. The driver was unaware of the situation and was irritated towards her, when she had clearly communicated to them. The staff seemed to not care which was frustrating. We coordinated our own ride back to the airport for less money and hassle. We slept well, outside noise was minimal, and it seemed safe. There’s an elevator in this hotel & cafe that was never seen in use.

The hotel wasn’t horrible but the listing and photos were extremely deceiving. We booked a family suite with acropolis view. The room was absolutely nothing like the posted photos, the balcony was shared with three rooms and the acropolis view was a joke. There was no storage space in the room except for a wire rack that looked more like something you’d find the a locker room. The door to the bathroom had a leather strap attached by a screw that kept falling off. There were cement patches and holes in the floor (photos attached). The room lacked any type of warmth and felt very sterile. The hotel felt more like a hostile than a hotel. The door to our room was impossible to open or close and the frame to the door moved every time we opened the door. If they were honest about the accommodations I would have never booked, especially for the nightly rate they charged. Luckily, we were only there for two nights.

The hotel was actually quite good. Everything was great about it from the location to the staff and the cleanliness. Only reason I didn't give it five stars is because the beds were really uncomfortable and the blinds didn't close all the way with a street light outside the window immediately above my bed.

Quiet street, but close to everything we wanted to see. Lots of food choices nearby. Very clean. They let us check out late due to our schedule. Nice people.

They could not have been more hospitable. Rooms are small but comfortable and are air-conditioned. They really excelled at customer service. Nothing was too much trouble. We had some questions about local olive oil and the gm gave us an olive oil tasting, of which she was very informative. I would recommend this hotel. Great location too.

We arrived at the hotel after a very long trip, and the woman in the front greeted us with a warm smile and such a cheery disposition. We were checked in very quickly, and our bags were taken to our room for us while another amazing staff member took us to the bar to offer a welcome gift of an amazing glass of wine. She was very personable and welcoming and checked in with us every time we came down to the lobby to see if we needed any kind of food or coffee shop recommendations. The hotel is perfectly situated in walking distance to all different types of attractions you would want to see and close to amazing restaurants. Staff took time to tell us a little bit about the area and insured us about its safety as we were two women traveling. Don’t get the wrong idea about the graffiti, the area was completely safe and we felt comfortable walking to and from the hotel at all hours. the front staff is 24/7. checking in check out were so easy and they called our transportation for us to and from the airport for a fee. There was a mini fridge in the room with complementary drinks. Overall, it was a great stay, and we would definitely stay again.

We stayed at the Anasa Athens Hotel for one night after ending our cruise, and it was the perfect spot for our family of four adults. The hotel’s location was ideal — close to restaurants, shopping, and historic sites — making it an easy walk to soak in the sights and culture of Athens. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived, making us feel right at home. We booked the family suite, which was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room for the four of us to relax after a long day of exploring. One of the best parts of our stay was how the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable experience. The team in the hotel’s restaurant gave us great information about the area and even offered to help arrange tours. They also recommended a nearby restaurant for dinner, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. We left wishing we could stay longer, and we would absolutely stay at Anasa Athens Hotel again. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a welcoming, convenient, and comfortable place to stay in Athens!

This was our first trip to Athens. The airport transfer they set up was flawless and their willingness to help with anything else was great. The hotel is close to many of the tourist attractions and amazing food. The room was small compared to US hotels rooms, but we expected that being in Europe. Overall a great experience!

BEWARE - The electricity to your room which includes the air conditioner and outlets charging your devices or connected to the fan the front desk will offer you TURNS OFF if it doesn’t sense any movement in the room. So unless you sleepwalk or do jumping jacks all night, you will NOT have A/C or power to any of the outlets And of course there are no screens on the windows, so opening them is not an option, especially in the heat of the summer. I would give zero stars if I could and would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone, nor will I ever stay here again.
