Very friendly staff, room was very cheap for the size and included a bathtub, fridge and microwave. Easy checkin and no fuss.

Gem in the hearth of downtown. Within a bloc any direction you can use the Metro or buses to go pretty much anywhere. 24h Couche Tard across the street. 24h Milton B a bloc up Parc Ave. Many dining option nearby. Staff super friendly. Room was clean. Of course the look is like back to the future but it's clean and quiet!

I stay at this hotel often when in Montreal. It is convenient and inexpensive and the check-in/out is easy.

It was a pleasant surprise to get a free upgrade from a queen bed to 2 double beds in a room right next to the reception, with a small table and 2 chairs for breakfast the next morning. We appreciate it as my husband has issues standing and walking.

The private room (#25) was surprisingly good (your standards may be different) and met the requirements for the weekend. The hotel itself is well situated. That said, there are a LOT of issues - some minor, some a little more frustrating. Something that others have not commented on - the "smoking section" was in the back, but the door was sometimes left slightly open, and sometimes closed completely, requiring walking halfway around the block to get back to the entrance if it closed (why not use the same lock as the front door?). Walking up and down the (fire safety) steps to the main floor was a bit scary. Cleaning staff did not ONCE check or clean the room, and they left only ONE (fairly small) towel. The decor in the common areas is VERY dated ("The Shining" vibes), and it was quite noisy at times, particularly with the neighbouring rooms occupied. It is also quite noisy from the traffic on Sherbrooke. I feel like this place would probably benefit immensely from a few minor improvements that would GREATLY improve the experience. That said, it's hard to complain too much given the price, overall features and location.

The bed was comfortable but the washroom and bathroom was too small. The location is great as it’s in the core downtown but I will not suggest as you have to walk stairs if you have chosen standard room as there is no lift.

Great room for the price. Only issue was that the shower had no hot water. An in-house breakfast option would be a nice touch, but there are plenty of places nearby.

The property is located relatively close the Place des Artes. However, garbage was rampant on the street - particularly in the back alley. We rented this hotel because parking was "included." However, when we arrived, we were told that it would be better to find parking on a nearby street. Parking was not available as all the spots were taken. The lot displayed in the Expedia photo was very misleading. The hotel "parking" is very small and can barely fit four cars. We were told that if we parked there, we would have to surrender our keys to allow cars in and out if needed (similar to the valet concept). As it turned out, all of the spaces were taken. We were then told to park in the next lot behind the hotel which was behind a boarded up/defunct hotel. We were terrified that we might be towed though, luckily, this was not the case. The property was old and dirty (carpets, bathroom, etc.). The beds were hard and only one pillow per person was provided. Strange odors wafted throughout the room in the evening which I suspect was Chinese food which did not dissipate readily - even when we figured out how to open a window. We had to climb two flights of stairs with our luggage as there was no elevator. All in all, we will not be staying here in the future.

Decent place to stay. A little smelly. Our washroom had no soap and she said she would let the cleaner know tomorrow , but they never did replace it. We had to just use the bar soap from our room. But overall an okay place for cheap. Close to all the stuff you wanna see

I've stayed at Casa Bella twice: July 2024, & January 2025! If you have tempered expectations as a solo traveler on a budget, it's adequate accommodations. You have wifi, a TV, a bed, & a sink in your room. I was fortunate to have the shared bathroom across from my room! It's also located a block away from Place des Arts & its métro stop, across the street from a Provigo supermarket, Couche Tard corner store, an A&W down the street, & a nice brunch establishment named Cafe St Barth's a couple of blocks away! While I was satisfied with the A/C during the summer, I was less than impressed with the lack of heating. It was barely adequate with my warm clothes that I happened to pack with me, but crossing the hallway to the bathroom, it was cold! I would ask that they increase their heating to facilitate the guests' comfort!
