Botleigh Grange Hotel & Spa

Hotel was lovely, the staff were all very friendly and attentative. Pool and spa was very nice and not too crowded. Grounds were pretty and the Hotel itself is an interesting old building with lots of history. Breakfast was huge and of good quality.

Good but heater was not working

We had a great stay at Botleigh Grange, our room was fantastic,great view over grounds and lake,good facilities.The staff were all very friendly and attentive. Would not hesitate to recommend staying.

Loved the decor, ambiance of hotel. Could do with a lick of paint and outdoor ponds and grounds could be made special with a clean up. Overall enjoyable stay and staff were excellent!

2 night stay to visit family nearby. Travelling with our pet dog as the hotel advertises as pet friendly however later advised that an additional £50 would be required for the dog. Check in staff were friendly and effecient however when I asked about the additional £50 charge payable up front I was advised that was to cover the cost of any potential damage and cleaning etc which I found strange as a tornado would have had a hard time causing £50 damage to our room which was extremely tired, dated and run down. The £50 should have been a security deposit rather than an up front charge in my opinion. Bathroom was especially grubby and disappointing. Great location, staff seem decent and hate to leave bad review especially for what appears to be a struggling business but would not recommend or use again mainly due to it being so run down and dated.

I booked 3 rooms for a group of us attending a funeral in Southampton. This hotel was available and convenient for the service and wake. Couldn't fault the hotel. A beautiful old building set in picturesque grounds. Big room too

Staff were friendly but hotel is very much ‘faded grandeur’! Spa consisted of tiny pool with small hot tub etc. Nowhere to lounge about or relax - no loungers by the pool.

Liked the decor of the bar and restaurant although the menu and drinks list are limited The hot tub wasn't hot but the sauna was too hot

Like all old buildings could do with a spruce up but great staff

A lovely hotel,which will be stunning with the ongoing renovations.We had a lovely time,using the spa & generally just relaxing for a night away from home.

It was really good and the staff are awesome

Some of the features of this hotel are truly beautiful such as the ceiling in the bar.

The hotel looks a little tyred but the interior is very nice, the staff are absolutely fantastic and cant do enough for you.

The food was not good at all get a new cook

Great car park for an overnight stay with a trailer. Restaurant was very good but a little limited for choice

All employees are very welcoming and willing to help and the hotel was beautifully clean. Such a shame our stay was not so good , the sprung bed was extremely uncomfortable to a point of painful in areas . The emergency exit lights from the corridor shone through the curtains all night only needs a black out blind to fix the problem . Had a lovely swim but it was a shame that half the spa facilties are out of use. The spa was one of the reasons i booked this hotel in particular . Will not be returning.

Evening Menu choice was very limited. Breakfast staff turned up late so no plates put out toaster wasn’t on etc. also the patio doors left wide open so the eating in the cold. Sauna, steam room and hot tub all out of order. Lifts were also out of order but could request a ground floor room if required. Also the carpets have a shocking pattern that hurt my eyes.
