The Standard London

Room was spacious. Shower was very nice. No place to hang wet towels though. Nice view of the gardens. Staff was pleasant. Doorman was helpful with my heavy bag. We’ll be back.

The hotel was fantastic. Everyone at the front desk was very pleasant and accommodating. The room was spacious and the bed was amazingly comfortable. The view of the city was awesome from the room I stayed in, which was on ninth floor. It's proximity to the train station was incredibly convenient. I have nothing but positive things to say about this hotel.

Awesome 5 nights spent in this hotel, we were so sad to leave. The mattress was super comfortable we knocked out almost immediately after laying on the bed. Really worth it to get the king size bed. One point to note is that the rooms are meant for couples as the bathroom is open and doesn’t have a door (unless you’re okay with that!)

I love the sleek interior design of this hotel and pristine prompt service. The design reminds me of a fun cool train especially the elevator. The king room is absolutely gorgeous with a fantastic view. The amenities are excellent with high end Italian brand shampoo and soap. Our room service for breakfast was an absolute delight (ham cheese omelette, pancakes and matcha latte). Their location is right cross the major King Cross station (incl the Eurostar arrival station). The hotel also has a great rooftop bar. Definitely will come back to this hotel next time! P.S. The property was modern, clean, with friendly staff all around. Proximity to major railway and underground a plus. Lots of dining on site and restaurants nearby. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable.

First time staying here. Very warm welcome at check-in. Upgraded to a junior suite. The room was perfect. Spacious, had everything I needed for a comfortable stay and more. Faultless - highly recommended

Loved the vibe of this hotel and how they preserved some of the original architectural details of the building. Really centrally located, close to major transport links. The bar and restaurant areas were very cool.

I always stay at The Standard when in London. Every staff member I’ve met has been lovely and helpful. Friends often meet me there for drinks because the bars and restaurants have some of the best atmosphere in London. Rooms are always clean and well appointed. It’s very conveniently located as Kings X itself is full of amazing shops and restaurants but it’s also the best connected stations in London for public transport. If you’re lucky your room will come with a gorgeous view of St Pancras hotel. And this may seem random but I also love that they have washcloths. For some reason in recent years I’ve found less and less hotels have them. When I stay somewhere I don’t expect to have to bring my own bathing linens. Despite my love of this hotel I do have some small gripes. The room configurations are all so different, which is fun but some aren’t the best for opening large luggage for longer stays. The bins are tiny. I often shop or bring back takeaway food to the hotel and there only these tiny bins with tiny holes to throw larger packaging away. If you stay on any floor close to the top, and are sensitive to sound, bring ear plugs because you’ll hear music from the bars until the wee hours. Similarly, if your room happens to be close to a supply closet expect to hear loud banging from the door more often than you’d anticipate. Despite these issues, the benefits definitely outweigh the negatives. The Standard is the standard for a quality London stay.

Absolutely love this hotel and would stay here again in a heartbeat. Everyone who works here is awesome and always very welcoming. Even the architecture and interior design of the hotel is awesome. My only 2 complaints are that I hate a bathroom with no door (especially when the shower is right next to the open arch), and I don’t quite understand the toilet down the hall and separate from the bathroom? But those are small inconveniences more than anything. Like I said, I adore this hotel and will be coming back :)

Loved my short stay, I intend on becoming a regular!
