Ruby Emma is a modern hotel, with the room controls, tv, lights, thermostat etc all managed from an iPad. The room was spacious, private, clean and with a great wet room and shower. The staff were all very positive and engaging and essentially very helpful. All though the Spaklerweg location is a couple of miles from the centre, the hotel is just a 5 minute walk to the Metro station which is on the main three lines straight into Amsterdam - so very convenient from a transport point of view. Thanks to everyone at the Ruby Emma, I would certainly stay there again.

Always stay in Ruby when visiting Amsterdam. Good ambiance, good location, just perfect. Near McD, metro station, Amstel River, and mini market. Will be back when visiting Amsterdam again. The restaurant along Amstel River is nice to try, too.

Overall the hotel was a nice experience. I did notice that there were stains on some of the bedding and towels. The shower also drained poorly and it was hard to avoid tracking water outside of the shower.

Personally wouldn’t come back. I had to report mess that was still in the room, crumbs all over the chair and the floor and dust under the TV all across the frame. I also requested something for my birthday this was not picked up. Staff were not attentive. First impression counts certainly wouldn’t come back I didn’t get the impression others were talking about online.

This was my third stay at the Ruby Emma, and unfortunately, it was the worst. With ADE week in full swing, I expected a busy atmosphere, but nothing like this. During my previous visits, both the staff and facilities were excellent, easily 5/5. The hotel hosted two ADE events on Friday and Saturday, which made things even more difficult. The bar menu and seating areas were mostly off-limits, and the staff seemed more focused on managing the events than on attending to guests. Music played until 1 a.m. both nights, and from my room on the second floor, I could hear it clearly and even feel the vibrations in the bed. To make matters worse, housekeeping didn’t clean my room until Saturday, even though I checked in on Wednesday.

Absolutely stunning hotel stayed when running the Amsterdam Marathon and the location was perfect. The staff were a bit slow but think it’s mainly cause it’s all electronic check in ect but will defo be staying again if I run the marathon again next year ☺️

I enjoyed our stay just not as many close options but loved that the public transportation was so close and easy to get to. Rooftop was gorgeous and loved the staff up there. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming!

I recently stayed at the Ruby Emma and couldn’t have been happier. The hotel is within easy walking distance to the RAI Convention Centre and perfectly located for getting around Amsterdam. The staff were absolutely wonderful—friendly, accommodating, and always ready to help. Breakfast was terrific, with plenty of fresh options to start the day. It’s also very easy to reach from Schiphol Airport, making travel stress-free. Highly recommended for both business and leisure stays.

Loved that the hotel itself is super close to the metro, so could go in and out of the city center easily but also enjoy quiet time being a bit further out than the hussle and bussle. On top of that, the hotel itself was beautifully done, environmentally friendly and wonderful staff!
