Candlewood Suites LAFAYETTE by IHG

Property need a serious re-set. Staff is slow and not eager to help their customers. Rooms were dusty and musty. Beds did not have clean sheets.

Upon arrival, you could smell marijuana in the parking lot. Checkin was fine. Staff was great, but reserved a Queen Suite with two Queen beds, and ended up with an “upgrade” which was a Suite with one Queen bed and the World’s most uncomfortable pullout sofa. Unfortunately, there were no other rooms, so we made due with what we had and shared the bed. Unsure if there was a price difference and was told there was no receipt, because I would get that through the third party… weird. Unfortunately we also had a room that smelled HEAVILY of cigarette smoke in the bathroom, for the entirety of our stay. Closing the door helped, but then when you opened it, it about knocked you out. Keeping the door open allowed it to waft about the room. There was no avoiding it. Overall, it was an okay stay.

too expensive for what we received tv did i not work and no one around who could fix bathroom door would not stay shut no creamers for coffee or tea would never recommend or stay here again

The entire hotel has a funky smell to it. The room was horrible. I had to spray deodorizer and keep the window open just to be able to tolerate it. I would have asked for another room but it was a late check in and the entire hotel just felt very dingy.

Walked around bare footed in room and feet your black from the floor. Other than that it was nice to kick back and relax

Room was clean and bed was average, the carpet in the room was clean but still felt very packed down and rough. The shower was not hot but room temperature and wouldn’t get any hotter. AC was in the living room area with a small vent into the bedroom on the other side of the wall, the vent could have been more powerful, it felt like a slight breeze with the AC turned on. Overall, clean and easy place to stay near lots of restaurants to pick from and easy to get off and onto the highway. Would stay again

The room is new and very clean. Beds are very comfortable.

It was ok. Walls were dirty and there was musty order. Staff was nice

Pleasant and easy to access. Staff was kind and courteous. Dishwasher was broke which made washing dishes inconvenient. Hot water in the bathroom stopped working one day. Some staining on the walls in the room made it feel old. Walls are thin and listened to the people next to us fight all night.

They provide everything you need and more! Water pressure in our room not the best but not the worst I've ever experienced.

Nice, clean, quiet property. Bed was comfortable. Hotels in Lafayette are generally overpriced but this was a good property.
