Our experience with ‘Moongate villa’ was disappointing because on our 2nd day, some building works began next door which woke us up at 8.00am in the morning and the cement pouring and flattening machines started working. It’s no exaggeration to say that the whole of our building vibrated to the machines being used. As for the noise all of this created, it was horrendous! The owners of ‘Moongate villa’ agreed to give us 1 x night free of charge. Please confirm that you can refund us this back into my card by which I paid. Kind regards Sue Haugh

A piece of paradise. Peaceful and private. We spent three nights here, wonderful hosts, lovely comfortable rooms surrounded by amazing gardens and yummy breakfasts.

We went for 2 nights with our dog Millie , we love everything about the cottage, they kindly have a bed and bowls for her. It was fantastic stay, breakfast was fresh and delicious! And excellent service. Is a small paradise for relax and enjoy

We had the pleasure of staying at the moon gate villa in Kerikeri. On arrival there was a blackboard with our names welcoming us upon check in we were asked if we would like a nice glass of wine to start our holiday The room was clean and tidy and serviced daily nighttime our bed was turned down with chocolates left on our pillows Breakfast was great with the choice of a full cooked or continental . Our hosts Lionel and Rob were excellent I would highly recommend Moongate for your next vacation in Kerikeri

Moon Gate Villa is an absolutely stunning beautiful property. The tropical gardens and settings are amazing, we hired the cottage a beautiful little property, the cottage is dog friendly the place is absolutely immaculate, the owners really go over and above covering all amenities even a gorgeous wee dog bed and bowls. An amazing breakfast basket is included with gorgeous home made goodies. This property is beautiful with Lovely Tropical gardens, the location is right in the hard of keri keri only a 1 minute walk to the local farmers markets and Makana Chocolate Factory, and also keri keri Centre and the winery’s. We would highly recommend this place.

What a surprise!! We had a lovely cottage bungalow which had everything you required and overlooked a beautiful garden. Our hosts Rob and Lionel were fantastic - we were greeted with such warmth from Rob, who suggested several sites for us to visit and looked after us so well.

My husband and I had high hopes for our stay at Moongate Villas and they were fulfilled. Upon arrival it was lovely to see a Welcome sign for us and our wee puppy. Lionel greeted us, made us feel welcome and explained everything about Moongate. We had booked the separate summer cottage. Parking right outside. The cottage had a small bathroom - shower, toilet, vanity with luxurious towels, soaps, extras you could need. It had a kitchen/diner with microwave, sink, fridge/freezer, hotplate, coffee machine, crockery, cutlery etc. and open plan to a bedroom/lounge area. A nice couch, with flat screen tv, and a very comfortable bed and pillows. We had free wifi which worked well as well as Netflix, Lightbox, Plex = all great. This area opened onto a lovely deck with small table and chairs and two long comfy 'day beds'. From there we had a huge piece of private garden which our dog loved. We made use of the small solar heated pool during our stay and that was well kept. Continental breakfast is provided by way of a tray the night before consisting of cereals, fruit juice, toast, jams, fresh fruit and yoghurt. This was included in the price or you could pay an extra $15 each for a full cooked breakfast in the main house. Our hosts Lionel and Rob were excellent, friendly, helpful and made sure everything was perfect. We highly recommend this place (and we have stayed at a few hotels!!).

I am usually sceptical when I hear that a B&B is 5 star, but was delighted to be proven wrong. Moon Gate Villa is better accommodation than a number of 5 star hotels that I have stayed in. On top of this, Lionel provides a superb spread for breakfast. The hosts also provide great insight into the best places to visit in the area and the best restaurants to dine at. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area for a few days.

My Sister and I stayed at the Moon Gate Villa and we had the Deluxe Suite which Had 2 rooms that was comfortable and of excellent quality. We were welcomed with much Aroha from Rob and the very famous Mojo who plays a special role in welcoming guests when they arrive. Our Host was Lionel and he has a wealth of knowledge and experience pertaining to caring for their guests. We definitely got the 5 Star treatment which was a 10/10. For me as a guest i really appreciated it how the team had made our stay very special. We definitely thought it was so beautiful to have my name on a blackboard to welcome us at the Moon Gate Villa. Breakfast was incredible a banquet fit for a Queen we were definitely spoilt I want to thank you All so much for the 5 star treatment that we received it was definitely memorable If you are looking for the best don't look any further the Moon Gate Villa is number 1. Just like home! Very comfy beds and towels. Large closet. Large main room with sitting area. Leads to a porch with a chairs/table and two high quality sunbathing chairs. Tv had access to many movies. Very quiet area. Lovely landscaping - picture worthy ! Breakfast was HUGE so bring your appetite! Custom made! Parking was easy. 2 min drive to their town center. The owners are so helpful and kept in contact about worrisome weather etc

An amazing place to stay. A short distance into Kerikeri and to the Stone Store. Rainbow falls is only 10 minutes away. The staff made us feel as if we were a part of the family. The room was spacious. The breakfast was delicious. Toons of movies to watch and Netflixs.

The Moongate is nestled in a beautiful setting with lovely garden and nice swimming pool. Lionel, the proprietor couldn't be nicer. Rooms are lovely and the cooked breakfast exceptional. A real treat.

Loved it. Sorry we had to leave in a rush. We will be seeing you next year.
