I only stayed for one night but Ester and everyone made me feel so welcomed and well taken care of. I would stay again just for them. The building is old and unique. Quite a place.

Easy walk to attractions and restaurants. Awkward access to the property with three doors to unlock, 2 of which are quite heavy.

The staff was very helpful. The room seemed to be clean and had all that was needed. The building was interesting. We left before breakfast. Parking was within walking distance away and the ariport was a short drive away. The only negative was the street and entrance seemed shabby and the men "helping" with street parking for a fee were annoying.

Not enough to poke around the neighbourhod. Overnight on my way somewhere else in Sicily. Once one figures out the bus from and to the airport way convenient. Alibus.

Great stay, went solo for a couple of days. I know Catania well and the location was perfect for me. Super hospitality and the value is correct!!

The hotel claimed it offers transfers from the airport for surcharges. In reality, when I requested the transfer to the airport, they called a taxi for 22-25 Euros. I also needed a transfer from the airport to the hotel after I have dropped a rental car, and they advised me to take an unfamiliar bus in an unfamiliar city. So, I had to take a taxi again. The conclusion is that this hotel DOES NOT offer the transfer. Also, for those traveling by car: you will be lucky if you find a parking space on the street near the hotel. So, I do not recommend this hotel, especially to those traveling by cars.

Absolutely superb! Stunning building and probably the best lift in the history of lifts!! The whole place is beautiful. Staff were kind, knowledgeable and really cared that I got the best out of Catania. Loved it.

This is a beautiful hotel located in an apartment building. There are many charming elements such as an old fashioned elevator with red velvet seats and beautiful painted ceilings. You can walk to the main piazza. There is a municipal parking lot very close by. Let the owner know you need to park your car and she will send you the exact name. There is also a large park with a fountain and playground right next to the parking lot, less than a 10 minute walk. There is also an open air fruit/veggie market there too. The area right around the hotel is a bit run down but we felt very safe walking with our toddler and it’s such a quick walk to the piazza. The owner was very kind and helped us with some questions. We loved our room, it was spacious and the air conditioning worked very well! The ceiling was painted beautifully. We would definitely stay here again.

Incredibly kind staff. We arrived late due to a delayed flight and somebody stayed at the reception for us until then. The host was also generous in giving us good advice for safe parking, activities and get arounds. The bed and breakfast is ideally located, at 2 min walking to catania's heart. The building is very old and charming. Our room was decorated simply but functionally. Everything was clean and the bed very comfortable.

best location for someone who wants to stay close to the airport and still be at the center of the town with very near by night life location ( 3 minutes walk). The owner is very nice and the process of check-in was effective and short. The building itself is old and the entrance is a slight challenge. the biggest concern is with the noise coming from the cars in the street even in the late hours.

Great friendly hotel, very central with lovely bedrooms and a funky lift. Only lost a few points from me as the bed in room 5 was Very uncomfortable and sagged when anyone laid on it - replace the bed guys! Owner suggested a room change after the first night and the second room was great. Beautiful building with great ceilings in each room. Special mention to the two Amazing Sri Lankan Staff who work in the hotel - nice to meet you gents, and thanks for your hospitality. Would recommend.

Hard to find as is everything in Catania. No or limited signs and crazy drivers. The place exceeded our expectations. Amazing location, beautiful frescoed ceiling and quite a bargain.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Antica Dimora. We were first greeted by Pinella, who was very kind and friendly. She made us feel at home. Pinella answered all of our questions about things to see and to do in Catania. Antica Dimora is very centrally located and within walking distance of everything. Pinella also recommended the restaurant Pitti for dinner. If you’re a meat lover, then this fantastic restaurant is for you. Our room was a triple room which was up the stairs from the dining area. One area (which in itself was its own bedroom) had a queen bed. The other area had 2 twin beds. The linens were new, fresh and clean. The air conditioning worked perfectly. The wifi was fast. The bathroom was not en-suite but was just outside the room door. As this was the only room up the stairs, this bathroom was just for our room. Breakfast was a wonderful spread of breads, cakes, meats, cheeses and a lot more. Pinella also arranged a taxi for our departure to the airport. Yes, I would return.
