Efisiensi bus company (PO) started their history in 1996 as a transportation company that deliver tourism segment using medium sized bus. However, due to decrease in users’ interest of medium sized bus, Efisiensi ended up switched to big bus. In the end, this bus operator focused on the intercity bus (AKAP) service. Efisiensi bus runs their operational activities from the headquarter which located in Jl. Raya Wonosari KM 6, Kebumen, Central Java. Known as one of the middle-high bus operator, the owner Teuku Erry Rubihamzah opened his first round-trip Kebumen-Yogyakarta route with only one bus unit. At that time, Erry himself acted as the bus driver. The journey was not always that smooth. In 1998, Efisiensi opened a route across Sumatra. However it could not run for a long time due to the monetary crisis that happened in Indonesia. Later on, the bus company (PO) presented executive transit bus which served Cilacap-Yogyakarta route in 2002. During that time, several competitors whom were opened the same routes, were not providing bus with AC. This became an advantage for Efisiensi so that they could have a place in peoples’ heart. Succeed with Cilacap-Yogyakarta route, Efisiensi tried their luck by opening a new route. One of the new route was Yogyakarta-Purwokerto route which was opened in 2008, and Yogyakarta-Purbalingga route in 2012. Big changes were made by Efisiensi which transformed into PT Efisiensi Putra Utama in year 2014, also the bus company (PO) provides innovated service online sales to ease ticket booking. With a vision to be the best land transportation company in Indonesia, Efisiensi always try to pamper their users. Efisiensi uses Hino and Mercedes-Benz machine buses complete with premium facilities. Every fleet has seat configuration of 2-2, reclining seat with arm and leg rest. Several awards received by Efisiensi such as bus AKAP bintang empat (four stars intercity bus) from the ministry of transportation in 2016, the best non-economy public intercity bus (AKAP) in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2016 and 2017. Also won the AKAP bus operator in small classification with the best service during the Lebaran period year 2010.
