Beach Retreat Coolum

Always a great stay and staff super helpful and accommodating - a favourite stay with both family or with my partner.

Terrific location beach right across the road and central in Coolum, room was very comfortable and a good complex

Oh my gosh the location is beautiful. You aren’t paying for the room, you are paying for the view. It’s just beautiful. Bathroom was very average. Needs a good clean and maybe a bit of a Reno. Felt dirty and didn’t feel comfortable using the shower. Very basic room, old furniture but it did the job. First impression of walking to the room we saw a mouse run across the footpath near the pool. Was kind of gross but not the hotels fault. Can’t help nature I guess

Loved this place. Staff super friendly. The only downfall is you have to step up and into spa to have a shower. It is a big step up. Everything else was really good. Thankyou

Our two night stay was just fantastic! Such a beautiful cozy, beach retreat overlooking Coolum beach and seeing the amazing sunset from balcony was wonderful. Thankyou:)

Awesome place to stay

Spa bath with shower over and doors a challenge to step into and out of. Bathroom timber work showing its age, but clean. Good King bed and Ocean glimpses from our room. Easy access to eateries and shops in Coolum.

I wasn’t going to write this review because the girls in reception were the only aspect I thought was ok with the disgraceful experience. Are you really serious about charging $230 a night for this garbage.. truly ?? 1) The bed was an absolute disgrace and should’ve been thrown on the tip years ago. I now have a sore back after trying to get any sleep on that disgrace. The springs in the mattress must have given way years ago . I find it hard to believe that no one has else complained. There was only 1 extra pillow in the wardrobe.. quite alarming for a $230 a night motel?. We couldn’t use the aircon because there was no controls in the room and the ceiling fan didn’t have a low setting. The toilet seat doesn’t go all the way up. If you’re sitting you need to lean forward because the seat hits you in the back . If you’re standing you need to hold the seat so it doesn’t fall .. again , I can’t believe no one else has complained. The shower/ spa looked unclean . The room door doesn’t have a tight seal.. you can see light coming from the gap to the hallway and the noise from other motel guests comes straight into the room . Room 5b floor 1 is a complete shocking disgrace . We didn’t even have a room with a view of the ocean . I will not be back and I will not be recommending this motel to anyone that asks me. I don’t even expect a reply from you guys as I believe you must be getting reviews like this all the time. Not a happy customer ( prior customer)

Very convenient

The unrequested upgrade to an apartment worked out very well.

Bed a bit hard

We had a very comfortable stay, but feel the apartment needs an update, particularly the bathroom.

Lovely modern room, had everything thing I needed including a some laundry detergent dishwasher liquid, coffee, tea sugar and milk provided. Did a late check-in all went smoothly except the fob to garage didn't work, but there was parking available not undercover and was immediately sorted by reception no fuss when I talked to them next morning. I didn't feel the need to ring after hrs Pros: Air-Con, clean and well presented, tv in both lounge and bedroom, large bathroom inc waser and dryer. Ample pillows and blankets comfortable bed. Heated spa by main pool. Location cross the road to patrolled swimming beach and of course Friendly helpful reception staff. Cons: I had to go home eventually.

Unit was very clean and in good condition, handy to everything, close to beach, shops and restaurants. Have stayed here numerous times, we will definitely stay again in the future

Nice room with comfortable bed. Great see views and conveniently located. I didn't like the shower over spa bath. It was very difficult to get in and out. Very high sides to step over.

Great location and and room.

1.the place is a rabbit warren with doors and stairs up & down everywhere and very easy to have no idea where you are. 2. Room had no table to eat or drink off; or any suitable area/table/desk to work off. 3. The small spa bath was a 'death trap' with a very deep to get in, no handles or rails, nowhere to seat; and so for the same reasons, very difficult to get out safely. 4. The small fridge is a disgrace - no shelves in the door at all except a bottom shelf that only had a 2-3cm rail so you could put nothing in it (and as mentioned) there were no other shelves; and the other shelves in the fridge were also dysfunctional heights, partly because of the totally useless door. 5.There no actual CHAIRS to sit down at (and as mentioned no table either) - just two old barely adequate lounge chairs.

Clean room and comfy bed and good location.Needed more fresh towels then supplied, and more carparks for guests. Admin staff provided excellent service, would happily stay again 😃

Proximity to Coolum Beach & local dining experiences & shopping. Didn't touch the car our 3 days there !
