It was a newly renovated room, they are still renovating the outside. Can park car and easy to call uber or head to Highett station. Clean and nice! The aircon is a new Mitsubishi with cold and warm functions. Lovely hotel!

Precisely as expected.
I haven’t yet tried the food at the restaurant, but the menu appears both extremely old school and delicious.
Its text book kracknell and Kaufman, and the gnocchi sounds amazing

Recently updated hotel room. Compact but comfortable and quiet for a 1 night stay. Tried in-house French restaurant which exceeded our expectations. Excellent food, wine and service.

Unfortunately this place was a let down from the motel we stayed in Chiltern. The room was very, very compact for two people. The room was not cleaned properly. There was construction works going on & this was not disclosed before we booked. Also payment was to be made on registration but this was not the case. Very disappointed with both the accommodation & Expedia.

Was convenient to each our son in Moorabbin. Broken door handle - we couldn’t get in when we returned at 10.45 and it was lucky that reception was still open. Lock was not fixed the next day but the day after that.

We stay here often because it’s always clean , comfortable and friendly. This time they were in a state of refurbishment and the Restaurants were closed but we found a lovely fish and chippery just around the corner. The service at the motel didn’t disappoint.

This hotel is under construction. (as of January 2025, looks like long term). Office moved to a room temporarily. Construction noise begins at 7 am. It is right on a busy road. Train nearby. Staff are friendly but the hotel is older and obviously needs an ungrade. Restaurant is closed.

Booked on the fact of the brand name always good standard in uk and abroad not here very poor room facilities closed down over Christmas which I found to be poor pool area wasn't fit for use really. The staff however were good and that at least made it bearable stayed a number of nights at other locations.

The hotel is set back from the busy highway so heard no traffic noise at all. Just over a 5 minute walk to the Highett station which has great train service to the city in just over 30 minutes. Woolworths and good local shops opposite the station. 15 minute walk to the Southland mall which has all the shops you could wish for. Room was a good size, stayed 5 nights and slept well throughout.

Stayed at this hotel for many many years. Room so small and uncomfortable. Charged for breakfast but not provided. My long term connected this hotel seriously failed. Living in a building site. The most expensive and not value for money

Staff were great as usual but the building/rooms aren’t what they used to be. Unfortunately the Buckingham is looking run down.
Very noisy with tvs going all night and people smoking and talking outside til all hours.

World’s smallest rooms unless you were in Japan where you’d expect the rooms to be small AF.
Free WiFi is only a bonus if the WiFi works.
Most of the premises is undergoing renovation which is much needed.
