Eden Oak Geelong

Great accomodation, room was excellent. Staff were fantastic with both reception and cleaning staff going far above and beyond to help us with our stay. We will definitely be back again and have already recommended Eden Oak to everyone we have seen in the last few days of our holiday.

Eden Oaks sits in the middle of Geelong botanical gardens. It is not easy to walk to and from at night. The property is large as it has conference rooms so is a little spread out. It is a little dated but that wasnt an issue for me. The on site restaurant was excellent and the full breakfast as part of the price was lovely . All in all we had a nice stay.

The property is great. We were very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and the food was very good. Based on our experience it appeared that some maintenance may be required in our unit and that some landscaping would enhance the area.

The hotel appears quite new and is very modern. Rooms are very nice if a little small. Bathroom is very modern but poor lighting. Nice little swimming pool for children. Pillows were terrible, so thin. No instructions for the technology in the room with the lighting, tv system and blinds, very confusing. It is very difficult to find at night time as the area being a park is very dark with no lighting.

The property was clean and Comfortable. The breakfast was very good. A nice peaceful place to stay on the edge of The Geelong CBD.

We love the eden oak! The included breakfast is simply outstanding. There are laundry facilities (just 2 $1 coins, dryer is free), the BEST shower I’ve ever used in a hotel. Located near the botanical gardens and golf course, the outlook is very peaceful. We will always stay at the eden oak when we visit Geelong.

Note this property is cashless. Laundry facilities are coin operated hence not cashless. Travellers who wish to use these facilities should have $1 coins with you as reception and bar area cannot exchange physical money. Suggestion for this hotel is to have laundry converted to cashless system. Refrigerator not running when we arrived after a long drive. We figured it out and had to pull it out and turn on. No biggy but frustrated. Positive is comfy beds, pillows and complimentary breakfast was a bonus. Lots of variety.

The property is situated on acres of lovely bushland and very serene. Upon walking into the reception area I was impressed and Natalie, who greeted me and booked me in was excellent. I got a map of the complex and easy directions on how to get to my room. On the back of the map was the restaurant menu which seemed very nice, so I was looking forward to dinner. First impressions of the room were good and when I saw the QR code on the inroom menu with a room service option, I thought great! I scanned and saw that half the menu was sold out (surprising since it was only 5.15pm) but they had what I wanted so I put it all in the cart and went to check out. It then told me they don't do online orders, which was strange as they had a QR code to place the order. So I walked to the restaurant to place my order. I went to the bar and was expecting the staff member there to assist me. Instead she continued to text on her phone for a good 5 minutes before even acknowledging that I was there. I went to place my order but she pointed to a piece of paper on the bar which had maybe 6 menu items on it and I was told that's all they were offering, plus they don't do room service!! I left. I expressed my disappointment to Natalie who suggested I order Uber Eats. I went back to my room and realised I don't have cutlery so could only order finger food. Needless to say I was not impressed. On the upside, the bed was very comfortable and the AC was excellent. I probably won't go back.

Quiet and clean. Valuable price. The only cons: No room service. I was surprised the toothbrushes were not in the room, I should take it from the receptionist in person!
