Just a few details would have made our stay better:
1. No top sheet on the bed. When did this become a thing? You get a choice of quilt on or quilt off. There is no middle ground where you can get a choice of just a sheet on instead.
2. Poor lighting in the bathroom. Half the population is female and need a well lit make-up mirror. Should be included in hotel design.
3. No exhaust fan in bathroom.

This is a wonderful place to stay. The room was larger than it appeared in the photos, and very quiet. We loved the architecture of the building, the professional and attentive staff, and the proximity to the lake and gardens. We look forward to staying here again.

This is a lovely hotel however overall standards have dropped. The hotel looks a little tired and the overall service from all areas has certainly was below average. Overall disappointed with our stay.

Beautiful hotel - only downside was the vegetarian food offered at the Immigration Law Conference - surprisingly awful for except for the gala dinner entree and sweets. I had to grab a waitress to get the 3 vegetarian guests their main meal and we ate after everyone else and it was inedible oversalted risotto slop. Others got half a roast pumpkin with nothing else. The lunches were awful - overcooked, slimy lentil salads - French put lentils should be used in a five star hotel. Even the roast potatoes were horrible. The vegetarian food was no better than that served in my university whole foods cafe in the 1980’d or public hospital standard dishes. The coffee was horrible too. I am sorry to be so harsh when everything else was excellent. I understand that catering for a huge event is very demanding but I have had better at your Melbourne and Sydney sister hotels at this conference in previous years.
