Perfect for our short stop over between flights

Great stay

The one selling point of this hotel is the location- we walked from the domestic terminal to the hotel- sidewalks the whole way, .4 miles from the airport. If you are coming in internationally you would not be able to walk unless you transfer to the domestic terminal first. It is also within a mile of Mascot street station and from Mascot you can get into all the areas of Sydney you would want to go. It is a budget hotel and if it were not for airport proximity I would not stay there. The room was tiny. We had two towels for 4 people, but they did give us more and extra pillows when asked. Ask for a hair dryer- it won’t be in your room. TV did not work until they swapped it out with another remote. The bathroom is a joke. The shower and sink are basically in the same space, so everything gets wet. It advertises breakfast, but it is not complimentary and is $28 AUD at the Mantra next door. There is a charge ($12AUD) per person for the shuttle to the airport. You need tickets for the shuttle. The bed was comfortable and our room was clean, but the hallways could use a vacuum. Would only stay for airport convenience, but now that Inknoqbthe area I would probably book elsewhere.

We found this a great place to have a short inexpensive overnight stay before an early morning flight. It is what it says, a budget level 3 star hotel so no luxuries and they weren't expected. We had a family room and there are fast food eateries next door to the property and a good Dining room at the Mantra Hotel, also next door. It was easy to organise shuttles to International for the following morning. Security is also good. A lot of young people and backpackers use the hotel and it has a friendly vibe. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The beds were comfy. Being in easy walking distance from the Domestic terminal is also an advantage.

I didn’t like the old part of the Ibis needs updating
