The heater did not work, the room was dusty, the bed itself was dirty, I had bedbug bites all over my body, the staff was not so friendly

I stayed alone. The room has been renovated so it’s very new, and the bathroom is also very clean. The 24-hour reception is excellent. There is some noise insulation issue when people pass by or talk in the corridor, but I didn’t hear any noise from the neighbouring rooms during my stay.

Everything is good at this place

Good place to stay in the city. Not so expensive

There is no lamp in the room with 3 kids we need to turn on the bathroom light with exhaust fan. Air condition is not working properly

Wonderfully spacious and modern bathroom and a large room. The check in process was smooth, however it was challenging to obtain assistance after that. We had no functioning Television, staff didn’t call back to try and fix the issue. One single mattress was extremely soft with no support. Noisy rooms around us with children banging into walls late into the evening and early into the morning.

Bed was like sleeping in a board. We both couldn’t sleep during the night due to being uncomfortable and left tired with sore backs.

Stayed in the superior king plus single bed. Really good size room, very comfy bed and large shower head with plenty of hot water with good pressure which was appreciated in Canbera winter. Only 4 TV channels working which was annoying given its an older gen TV and no option to stream. Parking was very full even through to rear patking lot (which needs better lighting and guidance as to direction to park as people were boxing each other in). Hotel is well appointed and maintained and is very good value for standard and size of rooms. Needs signage in hallways and stairwells that reminds people to be quiet as found there is no noise suprression/dampening and you hear every baby, child and adult talking in the common areas as people leVe early or go to breakfast etc so not great if you are a light sleeper or hoping for a lazy morning (not sure why people forget to be quiet when moving about so a reminder might help with that). Staff were pleasant and efficient. Is a great location close to restaurants and shopping in Manuka and the DFO.

Our stay at Ibis Styles Canberra was disappointing due to cleanliness and comfort issues. Upon arrival, the **room was noticeably dirty**—thick layers of dust accumulated on surfaces like the wardrobe, and the carpets had **visible stains**. The **beds were far from comfortable**, making it difficult to get a restful sleep. The **bathroom was decent**, but there was a **neglected dirty gap beside the shower box**, which was unpleasant. Another issue was the **blinds**, which did not fully enclose the windows. Fortunately, it wasn’t too sunny, so we were able to manage. The biggest letdown was the **non-functional AC/heater**—with **temperatures dropping to 0°C outside**, the lack of heating made for an uncomfortable stay. While the hotel has potential, these concerns must be addressed to ensure guests have a more pleasant experience. Proper cleaning, improved maintenance, and ensuring essential amenities like heating work properly would make a significant difference.
