Small room Mattress needs a change with springs evident on the top Loud and noisy as other guests walked past

Great location, very close to lots of food and shopping. Water temp was poor for showers on both days. Hallway had a stale odour, but inside room was very clean and fresh.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Mercure Welcome. Found it very convenient being close to shops and trams and food.

My major gripe was with Wotif and Expedia hard to contact and unreceptive to reasonable communication requests - found Agoda a better booking product

Very noisy ; doors banging when closing Poor insulation between rooms Not staffs fault but guests on our floor were banging doors and talking all through the night We could hear televisions and alarms through the walls Every thing else was very good

Handy to trams and restaurants

The air conditioning system is terrible and room didnt cool down until 6am in the morning. I requested for room 1242 when I booked more than 3 weeks ago. It wasn't met.

It's very handy and close to shops and restaurants. However, the property is a bit out of date.

Very central to everything. Can walk or catch a tram to many places. Lots of cafes and malls only steps away. Lovely hotel, very clean and good service with a smile!

The hotel is in a good area. The breakfast is basic. The room was horrible, very small, very loud both outside and inside the hotel, we could hear practically everything that was happening in the rooms next door. We couldn't rest at all. The conditions are at most one star.

The location of the Hotel is very good. The lift was broken and only one lift was operational. It was very hot in the lift and people were jamming into the lift otherwise it was taking too long to go down. It was a safety issue. the stairwell was also blocked now making the situation a fire hazard. I was scared of the second lift getting stuck due to the over-crowding but I had to get out of the building as quickly as possible it was scary. I am reluctant to stay there again. Also the price of the room was elevated due to the Australian Open, which I expected, but you were only given extras on request eg shower cap. I also needed a bandaid and the front desk staff rolled their eyes when I requested one, however they did get one from their first aid kit.
