Pacific Bay Resort

Great rooms, spacious, clean, comfortable and very quite and dark, just like home. Food in restaurant was basic, not our type, but I had the prawn pasta and hibby dish if the day, no chips, no fried food, both excellent choices and tasty.

The resort is looking tired and needs to be modernised and updated. That said there were plenty of family activities and kids seemed to enjoy their time there

The first five minutes of the stay were truly the best- check in was smooth and the staff were kind. It all went downhill from there. The outdated room was accompanied by less than clean conditions. The room, though equipped with a walk out patio, disappointed with its 1970’s decor and generous back flow of a sewer stench. Sleeping in the car would have been a better option for my wife (cleanliness is of her highest priority). The dinner options felt more in line with a resort from the 90’s than today but the food was edible. If you are looking for no frills and a Howard Johnson’s feel go for it. Though we booked for the return drive back to Sydney, my wife implored me to book elsewhere. I chose to save our marriage.

A beautiful resort with welcoming and friendly staff, beautifully maintained grounds, excellent restaurant. We had a lovely short stay.

Parking was difficult no disabled parking and underground parking near lifts always full.Outside parking also full.Spa bath in bathroom was hard to get in and out of for elderly although rails were appreciated.Bed very comfortable.

The unit was too far away from the restaurant which included numerous sets of stairs with poor lighting

Great location and really enjoyed dinner in the resort. Highly recommended.

Rooms need renovating, room had no heating during winter which made the room very cold. Bed was the most uncomfortable hotel bed we’ve ever slept in. Charged $30 for a 1 hour leave check out with a baby. Have travelled all over the world and have never been charged this for a 1 hour late check out. We also arrived at 10pm the night before. Nice property grounds that’s the only nice part.

Very run down, the room we had badly needs a revamp. Old furniture, furniture worn, bed certainly needs replacing. Loud ac., motor roaring on the balcony. Old ac. Cleanliness was good. Not sure if this is right for all the rooms, we paid $179 with a holding fee of $150 which they say we have back in 48 hours! Not happy about that. Dinner at the resort was ok, pizza was good, had trio of dips which was nice but bread was burnt and tasted burnt! Grounds are nice, looks 5 star on the outside. Needs money injected into the Resort.

Place was pich black at 6pm. Ordered take away and was violently sick with vomiting and gastroenteritis. Which we cleaned up then they took our bond of $150 to clean carpet on a hotel room!!!! Craters in road you could lose your car in them!!!!

Good area great food!!

It was short but sweet. Will definitely be back next time we head down the east coast again

Beautiful resort, the only drawback was the lack of table service in the restaurant I would have expected from a resort. The self service QR Code system was not easy to use.
