Hotel Central

Comfortable stay near centre of Innsbruck and a short walk to the golden roof and old part of Innsbruck. Friendly and helpful staff at reception but staff in restaurant not as friendly. Good breakfast with lots of fresh fruit and nice cooked options. Few minor issues - broken window fitment, shower gel dispenser broken. Would recommend.

Nice hotel with great breakfast. Good spot in town close to train station and the old town. Spacious room and bathroom, pity the shower is in a deep bad tub and the showerhead did not fit in it’s holder so you had to keep it in your hand while showering.

The 4 star hotel adverts state that there's a bar and cafe (only open for guests for breakfast), yet both were closed. This appears to be an ongoing issue. Besides being misleading advertising, the response I got when I asked about it was words to the effect of "Nothing I can do about it, its not my area of responsibility. We chose this hotel because it had a bar and cafe, so as not to need to venture out into the cold to find a drink or food. The room was nice but attention to detail is sadly lacking. The power outlet in the bathroom was not properly fixed in place, and came away from the wall when you removed the cord. There was also an issue in the shower with the tap not being properly sealed, allowing water to get into the wall cavity. There was only one power outlet in the room, at the far side, under the TV, not atbeither bedside tables to allow for multiple charging of phones or laptops. There was no powerboard to assist with multiple charge cables. Charging was done one at a time. There was not water heater (kettle) in the room...you had to go down to reception to get one, after paying a bond. I wasvtold this was because 4 star guests sometime take the kettle with them when they leave??? If you want more than one cup of coffee or tea each, you must go to the reception and pay €1.50 for each coffee capsule or tea bag. I understand that a packet of 25 tea bags cost ca. €2.00 so a mark up of such magnitude seems 'excessive'. The 4 star ratingbis not deserved.

A very old hotel with some strange policies. Only given 2 small sachets of milk in the room, any more cost you €1.50 each, as do tea bags. Coffee machine supplied, but no kettle for tea, but you can get one from reception. Lovely big room, but small bathroom with shower over bath awkward to access, no grabrail. Had a snack in the cafe before the room, but the waitress only gave a note in change, kept the coins as a tip without even asking, even though we would have left one. Very friendly and helpful reception staff on afternoon of arrival, but not on morning of departure when the member of staff was quite offish. Would not stay here again.

Great place close to the city center

Great stay. The front desk attendants were excellent and the rooms were comfortable and clean. The restaurant people were a little abrupt.. and the breakfast was pricey, but overall , I highly recommend.

Great stay and great location just off the main town square and river area.

Nice center location

We stayed here for just one night. The room was amazing - spacious and spotless! We did get some street noise in the morning, but it was no big deal. Would absolutely stay here again. Loved the nice firm bed!

The lobby was lovely, spacious, comfortable, and elegant. Buffet breakfast was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was spacious. Unfortunately, room was not very clean. It needed a good mopping and bathroom cleaning.

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Central, the facilities were clean and nice, the staff were friendly and helpful. It is so close to everything.

It's a hotel with atmosphere - the older areas (the cafe and the lobby) are very beautiful and you can sense the building's history. It's also very convenient for everything in central Innsbruck. We had a very enjoyable stay with our three year old. Only downside was the second bed in the room, which was very creaky, and the excess heat in the public areas.

Thank you so much for the great time and customer service, we did really enjoyed! The only thing was that we were not able to regulate temperature.

The hotel is very central. I asked for 2 extra pillows to be in the room but they were not provided. There were 2 tea bags and 2 coffee caps provided (extra cost €1.50 each, but no milk. A kettle to heat water for the tea would have been nice to be standard in the room to make a cup of tea. Breakfast, while convenient, is over priced at €19 for what you get as the hot section is limited in variety. €12 to €14 is more realistic. Local taxes need to be added to the origional booking...it is never nice to be stung with an extra cost at xheck out.
