Radisson Blu Hotel, Antwerp City Centre

Waited 45mins in a queue to check in with no apology from staff for the wait when I did eventually get served. So didn't get off on the right foot. Not what I'd expected from a hotel of this calibre

The hotel’s location is very good and the fact that it has a parking lot is very handful. Breakfast was very good, with I nice view of the central station. What we did not like were the pillows (too soft) and the fact that it did not have any complimentary water in the room, a “businnes class” room.

Pre-stay: emailed twice to ask about flowers in the room for my wife, as it was our 30th wedding anniversary; no reply, no flowers. No directions for parking, which is barely signposted. Car park is very tight. Check in queue was about 20-25 minutes. No organisation. Checked details for breakfast, leisure facilities, etc. and asked for confirmation that there are bathrobes in the room to wear to the pool. Went to room and my wife wanted to take a bath, but the bath tub was dirty. I called reception to ask for someone to come and clean it. Decided we might as well go to the pool and sauna whilst waiting ... no bathrobes. I called reception again, no reply so I went down and queued again to ask for some to be provided. After about 1.5 hours we gave up on going to the pool and I was about to go and lose my rag with reception when someone turned up with bathrobes. They had not been told, but I asked them to clean the bathtub which they did immediately, and replaced one of our towels without being asked. This was the only instance of good service during our stay. The bed & pillows were comfortable for us, but no alternative pillows had they not been so. Only one chair, which was very uncomfortable to sit on. Communal areas, esp. the lifts were not very clean. Breakfast was mediocre at best (worst ever in a 4* hotel). Head waiter kept tapping his watch at us after 10am and is lucky I didn't punch him. Good location, but doesn't feel safe , esp pm. Will not return.

Always I took good experience in Raddison blu hotel.

The room (and the hotel in general) is outdated and the bed was very uncomfortable. I didn't feel particularly safe in surrounding areas. The service was average and the breakfast was also average.

The hotel is very close to the central station, walkable to the tourist attractions. The room was was nice and clean, however the bathtub was outdated and found molds. Beside that , everything was great !!

Staff was professional and helpful.

Best view of the Antwerp Central Station and easy access to China Town, Chocolate Nation, (right next door) Zoo etc. Lots of cafes, restaurants fast food around the hotel for every appetite. Supermarkets with different budgets in mind. Keyword is; Center to every need!

The apartment was huge and perfect for a family of four with the added bonus of two toilets. Breakfast was perfect too.

Great location, staff and clean rooms

Mediocre at best. This hotel is run down and needs a refurbish. Decor is very outdated, walls are dingy. Stains on curtains and carpets. Paint peeling everywhere. Walls are thin and you can clearly hear people in the next room. The bathroom the sink had a huge crack, very little water pressure and water kept changing temperature from scalding to freezing with no adjustment by us. Restaurant closed and taps for draft beer not working in bar. Sketchy people loitering around hotel entrance. Very few decent dining options close by.

Amazing view and spacious room. Conveniently located.

Nice hotel right by Antwerp central station and walking distance to most sites.

This hotel is in front of the beautiful train station in Antwerp. It is perfect if you are arriving or leaving by the central train station. The view of the train station at night from the hotel is magnificent. It is an architectural gem.

Good swimming pool and sauna.

Great location close to the station and main shopping and entertainment districts and with tram stops right out the front. Comfortable room, quite large and good value for the price. Only real negative aspect about the stay was the shower which didn't have great water pressure and was very hard to get the water temperature stable (often freezing or scalding water).
