We stumbled upon the Grand Mercure completely by chance just walking in, looking for a spa that wasn't there anymore and ended up falling in love with it instantly. The front desk team was so warm, welcoming, and full of good energy that we decided to spend our last two nights in São Paulo there, and it was one of the best decisions of our trip.
The entire atmosphere felt so inviting and comfortable, and the hospitality was next-level. And the restaurant… wow. I don’t know who the chef is, but they put their whole heart (and foot, in the best way) into the food every dish was spectacular.
This is the kind of place that makes you feel at home while still feeling like you’re on a special getaway. I’d absolutely come back again without hesitation.

Not impressed. Our room was dirty and the hotel wanted $100 for early check-in even though the rooms were ready. Worse, some friends were charged this fee and others weren’t - super inconsistent and frustrating.

Hotel has good amenities, unfortunately we had a rude lady at check in but ended up getting good help from one of her colleagues. The hotel was very noisy, probably the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed at. Breakfast was good and easy to get around from here.

The service from Ian, George, and Leticia was absolutely incredible, they displayed exactly what great customer service should be. The Grand Mercure Itaim Bibi was a great place to stay. The location was excellent very upscale, with great places to eat, great bars, shopping, and the Central Park of São Paulo all within easy walking distance. Every room has a balcony, the rooftop pool had incredible views of São Paulo.
The room had a very comfortable King Size bed, amble space for working if needed, the room was very clean, nice size bathroom with a large walk-in shower, plenty of water pressure.
Ian, George, and Leticia at the front desk gave incredible customer service and even spoke fluent English, which was very helpful since I do not speak Portuguese! They were super friendly, very knowledgeable about the areas restaurants, bars, and other attractions like shopping etc.
I would give the stay a 10 out of 10 if that rating were available on this platform. I will return to São Paulo again, and only stay here.
It was a great experience indeed. Job well done yo everyone! Thank you!

Average rooms and amenities. Their dining options are very limited. Breakfast is EXACTLY the same everyday.
the staff in the dining are are very nice and helpful. Lobby area is very small and has a lot of foot traffic, not a place to sit and enjoy.. .
This place is very noisy even in the guest rooms - not the hotel's fault as their are two major construction projects going on in the adjacent areas. It can be noisy at all odd hours including weekends.
I had a little issue with booking dates and initial discussions were painful and downright nasty from the staff. Eventually my extension was ranted but at a horrendous cost - thy RIPPED me off with nearly 3x normal room rate for one night.
The location is convenient for my work and I have many trips to SP coming up, but am not sure I will stay here again.
