Beautiful location but a bit dated facility.

Very nice hotel, people, an enjoyable 6 nights, the executive lounge is very good, the roof bar is nice, very nice buffet breakfast, only on observation, as 5 star hotel, it is a little tired in places, but I will go back on my next visit 👍😁

Staff was amazing very friendly and on point. Room was clean and comfortable, except for one of the mattresses was a little worn down in lopsided, but still functionable. Other than that, it was pretty awesome.

Estada excelente. Apenas um ponto de observação: o ar condicionado dos corredores é muito forte, estava muito dentro do hotel.

Amazing hotel, service,people, close to the beach, secure( security) well lit to the exterior across from the beach. And great views. Close to walk to other nearby - good restaurants.

The elevators were problematic at times. But overall, I will definitely stay here again.

They have great breakfast options and an in-house exchange currency which is very convenient.

Excellent breakfast, restaurant and facilities. The hotel is located just across the beach. The staff is superior.

Nice five days stay in Rio. My only complaint was that the breakfast buffet was not what it used to be.

Absolutely loved my stay at the JW Rio! The staff was truly outstanding and made my trip enjoyable and memorable ❤️

Old but nice spot of Copacabana

The hotel for the amount money per night is high. It is what it is I see this when I make my reservation.. 1. The breakfast can and should be better. 2. Oatmeal should be hot / It is not. 3. One of two things need to happen with the open food that is served / Either exterminate the flying bugs or cover the open food. 4. The servers are awesome..

This hotel was so mediocre it almost sucked for the price point. I stayed here three nights and the facilities are so small and cramped. The pool is absolutely tiny with only about 10 chairs to lounge in. The bar downstairs/lobby had a weird rotten smell and seemed as if there was no AC. Not to mention this hotel is OLD. Not good charming old but OLD. I could hear people talking through the pipes in my room, so clearly too like they might as well had been in my room having the conversation. Also the rooms are TINY and not updated AT ALL. The service was so meh. I tried to check in and the front desk asked me to wait and then proceeded to get rooms ready for an entire flight crew who arrived after me and I STILL had to wait afterwards. They were also randomly handing out water (not to everyone who was waiting) because, again, it felt as if there was no AC. The front desk workers did not seem like they were interested in being there to be honest. So disappointed with this hotel especially because of the price point. Definitely not worth it. I stayed at The Sheraton Grand Rio for three days prior to my stay here and it is SO much better, better views, amenities, service, rooms, food, and was somehow cheaper? I will definitely not be returning to this hotel.
